Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to contact Dyke Aircraft to purchase a set of plans for the Dyke Delta. I thought I had found the right email address but there has been no response from them. Does anyone know if they have stopped selling the plans? The Delta Builders Network is no longer up...

switche and cache by
Philippe Vessaire
Hello,
I kneed to use a cache MS25224 and a switche AN3021-2.
On ACS catalog, page 416, I read the ON position is UP.
Is it possible to use the switche upside down and mount the cache upside up?
Thanks

Verification that Heated Pitot is working by
iflycozy
Question to you electrical designer gurus:
Here is what I would like to do and Jim Wier suggested that I post this
here. I want an indicator on my Cozy homebuilt airplane to show me
that my heated pitot is actually working when I turn on the switch on
the instrument panel. So, the light will go...

Ultralight motors? by
Richard Lamb
I'm looking for a 35-50 hp 2 stroke suitable for a legal 103.7
ultralight. Anybody here know of a Rotax 477 or 503 - or a suitable
substitute that is not being used by some other fool?
Now I know that "friends don't let friends fly 2 strokes", but with
the (bleepin') catch-22 in the spot pilot...

How does a Maule tester work? by
Michael Horowitz
I have heard folks talk about a Maule fabric tester, but I have never
seen one in action. Apparently it puts a set amount of pressure
against fabric and if the rod goes thru, then the fabric fails.
Can someone please describe the action - especially, how does the
device keep the fabric from being...

Larry Mauro by

I had the distinct priviledge of being present for Larry Mauro's

Larry for over 25 years, spent 2 months with him at his home and Riser
factory in California in the early 80's, and wish all of you had seen

But seriously - new engine by
Chris Wells
Now that they're going to start enforcing the weight limit on Part 103, and since the Rotax 277 is no longer made, isn't it about time for a new engine/ultralight design?
We've got carbon fiber to build a lighter plane, and I'm sure technology has advanced enough to build a lightweight 4-stroke...

Experimentals and flight training by
Chris Wells
I'm building a Hummelbird, and I was hoping to use it towards my private pilot's license, but I've heard that I can't use an experimental for flight training. I looked through my FARAIM '97 and I can't find anything to verify that. Has anything changed regarding this since then? Can someone point...

Elastic Rotor Bearings from Resilin? by

Researchers have managed to decipher the formula for making the insect
protein resilin:

Resilin is reputed to give fleas their great jumping power, as well as
wing-flapping ability in flies and mosquitoes, among other things.
