503 DCDI still won't cut off by Tracy
I attached two wires directly to the mag kill wires, a third wire bolted straight to the engine itself for ground. Then I started the plane and rev'd it up to 5,000 without warm up and hooked the wires together and it cut off, then I let it warm up for two minutes at 2,000, hooked the wires up at...

I currently have a single Nav radio w/GS connected to a nav antenna via a triplex coupler with 2 Nav and one GS output, and I have one Nav output from the coupler that is not being used now. I want to add another Nav radio w/GS to my plane. I can use the extra Nav output from my existing coupler...

Updated Oshkosh Frequencies by RST Engineering
I just had an email from a feller that used my Oshkosh frequency list and he said: 133.85 and 126.6 both seem to be used by the Warbirds Airboss. Those will let you know when explosions are coming. If anybody has any more updates, I'm ready to take them and refresh the list.

Pills & propellers by jan olieslagers[_2_]
Bob, Thanks for one more entertaining text and valuable lesson. Hoping the question's not too stupid: while you mention diameter and pitch and some parameters I don't really understand, why do you never discuss the number of blades on the prop? It seems obvious that a two-bladed prop is by far...

WTB: Shadin fuel flow transmitter by larry
I'm trying to locate a used Shadin fuel flow transmitter part number 660534S or 660534R for my project. A working pull with no documentation is just fine (as long as it works). Thanks! Larry Edit return to reply: larry at skagitmedia.com

Anyone seen or flown a plans built Vision? by Will H
I like the concept of modern composites with powerful yet fuel savvy engines(read $5 100LL!!), with a cost that is less than the house, and built times less than the time left on my medical...curious if the Vision lives up to the hype or if there are any other similar kits out there that can...

Vacuum Pump Question by Ebby
For A&Ps and others, Homebuilding ones own plane is very educational. Right now I am learning about the vacuum system in particular the vacuum pump. My engine, an O-320-E2D, can take a 211CC or a 215CC. I haven't been able to fnd the difference in the literature. Does the difference in these...

Elementis 3243 Epoxy? by Corrie
Wondering if anyone has used this. A local industrial supply house recommended it when I asked about T-88, which they didn't carry. (Yes, I know I can get T-88 from AS or Wicks) It was failry inexpensive so I picked up a half-gallon, and I plan to do some tests. According to the specs sheet it has...

Intimidated by Larry Smith
Big gathering at our airfield today: Waco, short-wing Pipers, a princely PA-12, Luscombes, polished aloonyum Swift, Cubs, a covey of ultralights, and a ragged out 310 over in the weeds with two-doglegged props and a klapsed nosegear. They came in to enjoy our second Indian summer and $100...
