U-234 and Me262 by
vzlion
I've been following the thread on the U-234 and was most intetested in
the statement that there was a Me262 on board. Can anyone provide any
substantial evidence of this, other than the statement that there was
one on board? And if there was one on board what happened to it? I
would assume that if...

Full motion home flight simulator. by
The Enlightenment
While I was researching pneumatic positioning systems I came across
this web site which may be of interest to rec.aviation.military. It
looks like a German Kid who's putting together a full motion flight
simulator as a cooperative 'open source project' that is affordable
for a home...

What is the range of the B-1B? by
user
Easy, the endurance of the crew!!! I know there is no such thing as a
stupid question,,,except that one! The only mechanical limiting
factors would be servicing the consumables, (oil, oxygen, hydraulics,
etc..)just like any inflight refueling capable aircraft.

SHOOT GRIEGO SHOOT by

SHOOT GRIEGO SHOOT
It was our first mission. We didn't know what to expect, but we expected the
worst and were ready for anything. And sure enough we got it. When you are the
newest crew in a squadron you always get stuck back in the tail end Charlie
slot…number 6 in the low flight. What's bad...

Questions about Fox one, fox two etc.. by
tw
First off, why "fox"? "Fire one" - "F- One" - "Foxtrot One"- "Fox one"?
Secondly, in "Sea Harrier Over the Falklands" Ward describes Fox 2 as
denoting a missile launch from astern the target at one point and a heat
seeking missile launch at another (which could presumably be head on with...

Gasp-- On Topic RAM question! by
Charles Gray
The U.S. had a radar guided missile called BAT deployed towards the
end of WWII. The source material I've read claim that it sank a
Japanese DD, as well as hitting a bridge and it had a ragne of about
20 MI.
Forgive me for being suspicious, but that seems like *incredible*
performance for a radar...
