IN REMEMBRANCE OF WILLIE THE WOLF by

IN REMEMBRANCE OF WILLIE THE WOLF
Willie was war weary when we got him. His first crew completed their tour of
duty and went home. Then we came, fresh from the US and yet to fly our first
mission. Willie's scars brought home the reality of where Willie had been and
where we had yet to go. He was...

Civilian Space Flights by

At the risk of sounding like a curmudgeon (which I probably am), I
need to ask this question:
What is the big deal about Rutan's suborbital flight? Why is this such
a history-making achievement?
The regulars on this newsgroup might recognize me from earlier posts
as a former USAF and contractor...

F/a-22 Software better now?. by
John Cook
Hi
I just heard the F/A-22 is getting 10.8 hours before software
problems, this is almost double the requirement for IOE&T, the major
blue screen problem hasn't happened in over 1000 hours of flight.
Anyone have a proper link to this story, or any other background.
Cheers
John Cook

Location of B-1A Number One Prototype (s/n 74-158)? by
Martin
Does anyone know the current location of the first B-1A prototype (s/n
74-158)? I have information that it is located either at Rome
Research Site in New York, at the Edwards Air Force base museum, or
dismantled.
Does anyone absolutely know where B-1A No. 1 (74-158) currently is?
Thanks,
Martin

Canada's role in the future by
John Locke
Canada's military is, and has been for over a decade, in a state of
disarray. This is largely due to two facts. The first is the Trudeau
government, which preached quasi-socialist values and viewed the
Soviet Union not as an aggressor, but rather as the victim of American
agression. Trudeau managed...

were only USN/USMC aircraft at his disposal? Also, did Army ground
troops have the capability to contact any FAC in the sky regardless of
what service was...
