Links for new people interested in gliding by Lucky812[_2_]
I have people ask me about gliding all the time. I always send them to the http://www.letsgogliding.com/ site and forward them links for Bruno Vassel or Balleka videos on YouTube. Does anyone else have any favorite sites that they send people to in order for them to get interested in gliding?

LINUX flight software by Bill Daniels
Apparently, there are a few people out there working with Linux for gliding applications. (Thanks for the links) Maybe it's a good thing. I keep thinking that the potential user base in this space is so small that if the PDA based apps split it, there won't be all that much profit to support a...

List of Questions about restoring a glider by [email protected]
Here's a list of questions about restoring an ASW-15B model. How expensive is it to tint a canopy? What about hinging it? The old metal Ben Greene trailer sure could use some struts/hydraulic to help open and close the lid. It's really heavy. Anything to assist in opening it?

Lithium 3.6 Battery by HGXC[_3_]
After a long trip towing my glider I was going thru the cockpit and on the floor I discovered a Lithium battery in a black plastic holder on the floor near the instrument panel, (I hate when that happens). The battery is about th same size as a AA and i have no idea where is came from or goes. No...

Lithium technology batteries by Ken Kochanski (KK)
Although the technology is still pricy vs lead-acid batteries, the power/weight/size vs cost equation is getting better. Anybody using lithium model airplane packs bundeled to produce 12 - 14 v @3 - 6 amps as a power source for their glider? (I have been looking at the duralite site ... I'm sure...

Little Joe by raulb
I may be spreading unfounded rumors, but the latest one is that Joe Stazneck has passed away. He would have been around 97 and had been a glider pilot since his teens. Joe began by hanging from kites with his brother and Irv Culver in the San Bernardino, CA area. In more recent years he was a...

Littlefield Glider Club by Jack
I'm being promoted and moved to Clovis, NM. I had thought I would end up in Amarillo or Albuquerque, but the boss said it's Clovis. I flew out of Littlefield in the early '90s in a Region 10 contest, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Is that club, I think it's Caprock Soaring, still active? If not, what...
