Wright Flyer's Secret Name? by
James Dandy
My aviation co-worker claims that the Wright brothers had a secret
name for their Flyer- the Bullam.
He claims that the brothers had nicknames for themselves when they
were growing up. Apparently Wilbur was Ullam and Orville was Bubbo or
Bubs.
Bullam comes from this combination of childhood...

Wright Replica FAILS to Fly by
robert arndt
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A40516-2003Sep20.html
Awww, too bad. The two Gustav Weisskopf replicas flew easily enough,
proving that the Wrights were dead wrong when they claimed the GW
No.21 CANNOT FLY... just look at the design.
Time to admit the real first to fly sustained...

Wright Stuff by
Bob McKellar
Back in the mid 70's, I made a trip to the Air Force Museum.
My entourage included my two young children, and my maternal
grandfather. It is important to point out that my
grandfather was Naval Aviator #711, a number which will
sound spectacularly low to the Naval Aviators who read
these...

WW1 RAF night bomber markings question? by
Bill Burns
I came across an interesting reference in a history of aircraft markings
book to an apparently short lived, early war upper-wing national marking for
WW1 RAF night bombers. The reference described it simply as a white disc
used only on night bombers. This marking was different from the white...

WW2 bombing by

Say I dropped 1000 tones over a long period of time in a city in the
region 50 square kilometers.
Does anyone know of any tables or formulas that can tell me how
effective in WW2 air bombing of a city would reasonably be?
Also any information on the effect of over hitting would be appreciated.

in the immediate area.)
Reiteration of the details would be boring to any of you who have
