12v power port for older Cessna by Marty from Florida
Hey all. I'd like to add a 12v power port to hook up my cell charger/PDA/GPS / hairdryer and marguerita blender. Any advice on how to get this done, or is it a shop item? The plane is a 1982 C152. Thanks in advance, Marty from Drizzling Palm Beach

150 exhaust leack by [email protected]
Hello all, today while flying from IA24 to MUT I turned my carb heat on and the exhaust got noticably louder and I could smell exhaust. I shut the heat off and opened the vents. Can the exhaust be repaired or are new ones usually required. I'm going to have a mechanic look at...

150HP Grumman Super Yankee for sale, very nice and low time! by Bill Berle
After busting my ass to get it, annual it, and fix it up, yet another financial setback has forced me to offer my 1969 "fast wing" Super Yankee 150 HP conversion for sale. THIS was supposed to be the keeper! But I have put it upon Ebay for auction. Reserve price is confidential, but I will say it...

152 with high time lycoming by Dave
I am considering going to take a look at a 152. I need something to fly while doing th efabric on the Taylorcraft and the kids need something to learn in. Student pilot solo insurance in a taildragger might just be spectacular. The plane has about 7500 TT which may or may not be OK depending...

I was walking around the old girl yesterday and the doors were hanging open to make sure all the moisture from the leaks (stand-by for post on cabin leaks)....so anyway, something made me grab the bottom of the door and check sop in the hinges. Maybe it was because I am thinking of taking them off...

172 Nosewheel Struts Leak Nitrogen by jls
I rebuilt one and the best A&P on the field rebuilt the other one, on 1966 and 1957 172's. Neither will hold nitrogen. What's the secret to getting them not to leak. I bought a complete O-ring kit from Trimcraft in Wisconsin. My personal A&P told me that only one or two large O-rings were...

172 owners - End the Draft by Roger Long
Every 172 I've ever flown has had so much air pouring in around the left doorpost that the pilot's air vent was superfluous. I've thought about wearing a ski mask for winter flying. I, and many others, have always thought it was coming in through the stall horn and just something you had to put up...

172 plastic interior parts by G.R. Patterson III
Dave Burton wrote: Can anyone tell me what the material is that the mid 70s Cessnas used for the interior plastic? We have a couple of cracked pieces we would like to repair. Texas Aeroplastics sells repair materials. George Patterson I childproofed my house, but they *still* get in.

182 panel by Jim
Does anybody know what would be the oldest Cessna 182 that one could re-configure into a standard T "8-pack"? I've seen a '69 done this way, but older models look like they have a curved panel with less room. Thanks! -- Jim Burns III Remove "nospam" to reply

182RG by Paul Anton
Thanks all on the help with my 182RG problem. I now know where to have the ammeter repaired. On the original trouble which was a wildly fluctuating ammeter, I found an easy way to jumper the "B" terminal of the regulator to the buss. Trouble was gone. I next jumpered the over voltage sensor by...

182RG question by Paul Anton
I am hoping to tap some of the expertise here to solve a problem I have run into. I am a retired guy who was called by a local Part 141 school to fill in as their flightline mechanic until they could find a permanent A&P. They have an early 182RG (serial 141) that has an ongoing electrical...
