This is our first flapped glider. Does anyone who owns or flies a DG600 have any helpful advice for...

Soaring Fleece Jacket from BGA Recommendation by ContestID67
Over the Christmas holidays I receive my latest issue of "Sailplane & Gliding Magazine" and looked over the soaring clothing that they had for sale. I ended up ordering their "Navy zip up fleece with discreet glider motif". The cost was about $38US. It arrived in about a week (UK = USA). Nice...

Retraction (lowering?) assist springs on V2C by [email protected]
My V2C has one of the large wheels with shock absorber and hydraulic disk break (in other words, the heavy combo). My mechanic noted that there is one assist spring, but places for two. We'd like to know if I'm missing one? Advance thanks ~ted/2NO

Need training video by Elliott
I'm a ground-bound lurker who's been learning a lot from you guys and I would appreciate your help. Many years ago I set out to learn to fly gliders, but only got 1-2 hours time before medical problems sidelined me. I would like some suggestions for good videos or a simulator to get the feel of...

Latest on Charlie Spratt by Karl Striedieck
"The Gate" has a new shoulder joint and should be leaving the hospital tomorrow (Jan 5). His left arm is still immobilized so rehab therapy hasn't begun. He can walk but is weak from weight loss and inactivety. He will need assistance at home for things requiring two hands (dialysis hook up,...

OLC Scoring Question by charlie foxtrot
I just uploaded a flight to the OLC-USA for 2005-12-27 with a score of 204.23 points. But then I went over to the OLC Champion and Statistics: All Flights pages, and I only got 77.64 points. I know it's probably not an error; but I would like to know why it did that. Chris

Anyone interested in having a Peschges VP3 system? Main box, two digital readout varios, wiring harness, speaker, original manual. This system was in my Ventus C when I bought it in 1995 and I flew with it until 2001. It always worked fine but has been sitting on a shelf since I replaced it. For...

UK Gliding schools by Trevor Bailey
Can anyone tell me where I can do an "intensive" gliding course in the UK? I'm not quite solo, but since changing jobs I cannot get the time for the "final push" to solo - the majority of my time in the air has been during weekdays, sadly no longer an option. If I can get an intensive week of...
