He's going to be presenting at Arlington, but only once, and on Wednesday!
Jim- any chance you can make an mp3 of your presentation and make it

questions on multi-wing planforms by
pTooner
Firstly, I am new here although I've been reading for a few days. For
anyone with more knowledge than I, I keep considering building a small 4
wing aircraft. Not stacked, but two up front and two in the rear. I have
read frequently of problems supposedly resulting from interference of...

For the electronics experts here by

Well I had an old student that just got an education in radio shops. He
has an older 172. He took the airplane in for a pitot static check and to
certify a transponder. Spent all day there. First is that they came back
and said he had a blind encoder that was bad, even though he got no...

Survival II by
[email protected]
To All:
About a month ago I posted a message having to do with aircraft crash
survival in which I touched on the ability to make a fire, and the
features found in a good survival knife. The post produced the usual
comments some of which were rather surprising and may be of interest to
some of...

Zodiac XL vs Rans S-19 vs Van's RV-12 by
Jim Logajan
I may have overlooked a few, but if one were looking for a kit that:
1) is light sport compliant,
2) is low wing,
3) uses tricycle gear,
4) is of metal construction,
5) built using primarily pop type rivets,
6) and has a bubble canopy,
then up until relatively recently, the Zenith Zodiac XL ...

Wings for a Warwick Bantam by
Ron Wanttaja
Buddy called me up a couple of weeks back... "I just bought a vacation house,
and there's some airplane parts in the basement. What should I do with them?"
Turns out they were wings, windshield, and instrument panel for a Warwick
Bantam, an all-metal plans-built design from the 1960s. The wings...

Rudder cable slots by
Ernest Christley
I've got to cut slots for the rudder cables in both the floorboards and
the rear skins. Are there any tricks for locating the necessary slots
in a way to keep them as small as possible?

Evening Admission at Oshkosh by
Paul Dow (Remove Caps in mail address)
If I remember correctly (a rare event) they let you in to the grounds
after 5 PM with the next day's wrist band. Is that correct? I'm
arriving late on Tue. Cheap person I am, I'd like to save a bit.
I see from the forum schedule that they're running them until 8 PM.
I'll be missing the Beach...

Flying wires by
[email protected]
Just out of curiosity, I notice that all of the Pitts aircraft have
flying and landing wires attached on only the main spars, and the Acro
Sport aircraft have them attached on both the main and rear spars.
From what I have seen, the wings on both aircraft aren't made much
differently, and I...
