Merry Christmas, all! by
Jay Honeck
As I sit here, fat, dumb and happy, with a house (and hotel) full of family
from all over the country, it dawned on me that I would be remiss in not
wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
Many of us here have become good friends over the years, both "in-person"
and on-line, and this...

Rentals in Colorado by
PhyrePhox
Hello everyone,
I'm going home over the holidays and would like to take some of my
family out for a little ride. Especially my x-P51 pilot grandfather. I've
looked at all of the FBO web sites that I can find in the Denver,Co area but
can't seem to find any that have rentals. If I was a student...

I'm using rec.aviation.piloting to try to find a

group... but I really would love to find a
partner to share time with. So, here's the

- Bay Area, PAO preferred
- 210 hour PPASEL

Privatizing Flight Service Stations - AOPA by
One's Too Many
AOPA has an article online right now regarding an FAA study to
possibly privatize the operation of the FSS system.
AOPA says, as usual, that they will fight the privatization of the FSS
system as vigorously as possible. I fear that some...

1997 Cessna 182S by
EDR
My flying club just acquired a 1997 Cessna 182S on leaseback. It
arrived this past Thursday, and I was the first club member to rent it
(today).
Interesting comparing it to our 1986 Cessna 182R.
Our EAA chapter had our monthly luncheon flyout today, so I got three
legs in to sample different power...

No more side-scrolling, I hope!
I think I've got the page formatted so that it "scales" to different screen
resolutions without requiring side-scrolling to see everything. Fixing it
involved converting everything from plain text to "tables" that can be set
to a percentage of size -- thanks to...

body makes its own blood alcohol -- not usuallly! by
Julian Scarfe
Jose commented on the UK CAA GASIL article on blood alcohol:
The human body manufactures its own alcohol, and it is possible for the
level
of that self-manufactured' alcohol to almost reach that 20 milligram level,
so it would be prudent for anyone who is subject to the Act to think of...
