Ipad review - Weather briefing Part 1 - Video by
Herbert Paulis
I have also considered using the iPad for my flying but it says in its specs
that it is only certified for operation up to 3000m, i.e. roughly 10,000ft.
This in my optinion severly limits its usage for flying, together with the
missing GPS.

Is 91.175 enforced in the USA? by

In the UK, this is not illegal (on G-reg aircraft). But then we don't

GPS, etc.
In the USA, there are GPS...

Is my static port leaking? by
Derrick Early
The plane does have an alternate static source vented inside; however, I
pushed the valve in to select the exterior port. My guess is that either
this is normal or the static pressure system has a leak.

If you feel the price is ridiculous then apparently the data has limited
or no value to you.

JPI EDM700 v EI UBG16 - comments? by

Hi
On paper, the EI version looks a lot better, but I have never met
anybody who has one. They claim more rugged probes in particular.
Any views would be much appreciated.

JPI EDM700 v EI UBG16 - comments? by
Stan Prevost
Hi, Peter -
I used an EI 16-channel non-graphic monitor for five years (don't remember
the model number, but they still sell it) and found it and the probes to be
reliable. There was some occasional problem with the inline connectors, but
they were old when I started using them. That airplane...

Hey guys,
I am a fim believer in the edm 700 I have used it in about 4 airplanes
(182 210 421 barron) I find it easy to use and highly reliable. I wish
that I could give you some info on the EI product but I just have no
experience with it. As a professional pilot I fly nearly every day and

is race mentioned as factor.

KLN94 -> GTX330 (GND/ALT switching) by
Bill Chernoff
I have a GTX327, and it has a squat switch which is used to switch from
ground to air modes. Maybe your 330 has the same. You may not need the GPS
connected to the 330... I am no expert, I am reading this out of the manual.
By the way, I am interested in making a remote switch for...

KLN94 GPS and flying "overlay" GPS approaches by

had it on Mode C, but I'll have to investigate these next
