Query on Fokker 50 flight with no copilot by llama thumper
Hello everyone, got a quick question on a recent 50min passenger flight with a Fokker 50 - is it usual/per regulations/operating manual for the pilot to fly solo? Does this depend on his qualifications or anything else? Just curious.

Query on Geo Pilot GPS by Mike Isaksen
I just got the AvShop.com weekly flier spam and noticed an old portable GPS I had looked at a while back. Nice color and Victor Airways, but seemed to be directed at the Euro Market so I passed it up. Now the new Geo Pilot claims Weather with just an "antenna option". Anyone have experience with...

please excuse my dumbness, but just what is "IFR certification" when used in the context such as "What was the date of your last IFR certification?" if your aircraft has all required instruments and you have complied with FAR 91.411 regarding static, transponder, and altimeter tests within last 24...

Quesiton from a new flight student (whopping 7 hours!) by Gary G
Question from a new flight student (whopping 7 hours!) I was looking at the AOPA airport info. ANP and W29 don't list AWOS or ATIS freqs. That seems pretty critical. So - where does one download "better" info so you can get local weather

Question by Chris
I recently took a student pilot flying with me. He only has about 20 hours I was wondering if it's legal to let him take the controls being I'm only a private pilot. If so is there any possible way he could log this flight time we do together. I realize it can't be dual being I'm not...

Question about aviation in China by Casey Wilson
I tried various keywords on Google but couldn't come up with the answer to my question. Does a general aviation industry exist in mainland China? I'm planning a vacation trip there in 2005 and, if it is possible, would like to arrange for two or three hours of dual instruction in a...

Question about being unpressurized at higher (Class A) altitudes by es330td
My father has a C182 in which I have been to about 10K ft MSL. I am currently working on my license and am considering building a Velocity or Aerocanard, both of which have ceilings up into Class A airspace, one as high as FL250. (Before anyone cautions me about building one of these, I know two...

Question about Electronic Log Book by G. Sylvester
I've been basically keeping two log books. One was the traditional pen and paper logbook that my CFI/CFII signed. The other is electronic. Good thing I kept the electronic one as it made figuring out the dozen or two dozen questions about the hours the FAA has when I applied for my IFR. From...

question about engines by Cirrus
Ok,this is probably an obvious question to many of you, but I'll ask anyway. I usually fly in C172s and C182s with the Lycoming oil cooled engines that many of you are probably familiar with. I still see planes with the large radial engines (for instance, like what you would see on a Dehavilland...

Question about flight computers by Some Other Guy
When you set some distant airport as the destination, do they just use the rhomb line or do they actually calculate and maintain the great circle route akk the way? Sorry if this seems obvious. I'm using a flight sim (xplane), and I'm always suspicious about what the Real Thing does.
