Jan Nademlejnsky
Global Flyer is on its historical around the world flight, but it is
impossible to assess their site. What a shame!

twin boom pusher design/prototype for sale on ebay by
rich a.
Search on ebay for item number : 4533523478 Anyone know the name of
the "famous designer" refered to? The performance claims seem
unrealistic at best. I doubt even the short wing version will reach
237 mph.....unless in a full power straight down dive. Just my
opinion.

MAKING MONEY I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A
little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups and came across an
article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars
within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought,

Trio Autopilot by
David Tate
Has anybody out there had experience using the "Trio EZ Pilot" control head
driving a Navaid servo. I'm not at all happy with the Navaid wing leveler I
installed in my KIS Cruiser. The Trio web site, however, claims great
results using their solid state control head driving the Navaid servo...

Safety and Hot Wire Foam Cutting by
[email protected]
A friend of mine just bought a hot wire foam cutting tool for carving
and shaping polystyrene foam. My question is whether the fumes and
smoke from doing such carving are a safety/health hazard? Any
guidelines for using such a tool safely?
Thanks.

Quickie engine stand? by
Michael Horowitz
I'm looking for suggestions for a quickie engine stand.
Fastest is probably one that holds the engine verticle, flange down.
doesn't need to be waist high.
Wood is probably my best bet.
I'm planning on lifting the engine (A-65) off the tires it's currently
laying on so I can mount the exhaust,...

Signing off by
Greybeard
Probably permanently, SBC jacked the monthly up from $29 to $49, my
usage is declining to almost zero. Tied to the house, can't be gone
more than an hour at a time, and that's stretching it. If my
daughters trach plugs, I've got a very short time to either clear it
or get her to the hospital.

Thorp T-211 by
Ron Mahaffey
I am thinking about building a kit that is rated for a Sports Pilot. Have
looked at Kitfoxes, the Zenith Zodiac and the T-211. Really like the little
that I can find on the T-211 but the lack of information and builder sites
is raising a red flag. Does anyone have any suggestions for a plane...

Turbine air start -- too cold? by
Juan Jimenez
The engine on my homebuilt aircraft is a small French turbine, a Microturbo
022 Couguar (one version behind the TRS-18-046). It starts using good ol'
air impingement, which the manual specs out to 145 psi, 1.21 lbs volume.
Now, I always had problems motoring the engine to a high enough RPM where...
