A&P cert# search by
mindenpilot
Does anyone know of a database I can use to find an A&P's name?
His signature in my log book is not legible, but I can read his certificate
number.
I found one search on Landings that will search by name/city/state, etc.
I don't know his name or city, just state and cert#.
Thanks,
Adam

A+ for Mooney (M-18) Mite website by
Montblack
I've seen quite a few airplane web pages over the years. I have to say, this
Mooney (M-18) Mite site is one of the better ones I've seen. This site does
many, many, many things right, IMHO.
One very, very minor nit is ...the (very good) Photos/History page is one
level down, in the Articles link....

A.I.R. Water Detector by
Chris
I have an A.I.R. Corporation Water Detector system installed in my
aircraft. Basically, it is an annunciator light on the panel hooked to
a small probe in the fuel sump that tells me if I have water in the
fuel. A long while back, the system stopped working and I figured it
was the probe that...

A/C Retrofit for Cherokee Six by
John Pelchat
Does anyone have information regarding the feasibility of retrofitting
air-conditioning into a Piper Cherokee, possibly a 6/260? I live in
the southeast and would be flying toward Florida where heat and
humidity are a real challenge much of the year. A/C is one of things
that my wife would consider...

A/D Question for Piper Cherokees by
zatatime
Does anyone know the A/D number for the vertical fin/rudder that came
out last year (maybe the year before)?
It involves inspecting either the vertical fin or rudder for cracks
and describes repair options if they are found.
Appreciate any help from those who may know this A/D number.
TIA.

Where do you put the luggage in an A36? (do you have to take out the 3rd row
of seats?)

A36 for Family Trips by
Bob
Contemplating share of A36 primarily for work trips but also for
occasional trips with family of six (small kids). We are resigned to
shipping most of our luggage UPS for longer trips, but are interested
in strategies Bonanza owners in this situation have used to cram in
some storage here and...

A36 Pilot Headroom by
Nathan Young
I am looking at pruchasing an A36. I am 6'3" with a fair amount of my
height in my torso. I sat in the A36 and found that my head hit the
ceiling, even without a headset.
I found this interesting, as I have fit in every plane I've flown.
Most of my time is in Sundowner, Cherokee 180, Seneca...

About time -- Comanche 250 by
Tony
Well we finally went and paid for our new bird. A 1964 Comanche 250.
After months of deciding to buy it or get a small plane. We went down as
they were doing the annual on it. All turned out good. All compression
72/80 with only 10 hours on the plane in the last year. Our first
projects a Paint,...

AC 43.13, welding and a hip-check by
Michael Horowitz
Background: I have a wing strut with a bend in it and it may also be
cracked.
Looking thru AC43.13 at various welding options raises some questions:
Paragraphs 4-92 (Repair by Welded Sleeve) and 4-97(Splicing using
Larger Diameter Replacement Tubes)appear to apply. When would one
technique be used...

I was wondering if something like the RV...
