2-place Intercom and 4 Headsets by
Kai Glaesner
Hello community,
imagine you have a plane (rented) with a build in 2-place intercom
(sigtronics in this case) and want to give your passengers their own
headsets, so you can communicate with them. It is not necessary for them to
hear the radio transmissions you make, although, it would be nice (if...

question charity flight by
Dave Jacobowitz
Hey, I'm you basic 200hr PPL-ASEL and a friend
of mine has asked me to donate a sightseeing
flight to her charity's auction.
Four questions:
First, since I'm not being reimbursed for the
flight, I don't even think this fall under
61.113(d). It's basically just me taking up
a stranger where, no...

News Flash! Ice Skating rink in Hell Opens! by
G.R. Patterson III
My mother remembers when Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic. It wasn't too long
after that when she last rode in a light aircraft. She regards a 19 passenger
turbo-prop as "one of those little planes". Before today, I regarded the odds of
her climbing into my Maule right up there with the chances of...

If airspeed indicators had odometers by
Wayne
Windy as all get out today, the plane tied down on the apron took quite
a beating. Saw the tail lift on a 170 and two 150's actually left the ground
a few times. While scrambling around trying to keep them pointed into the
wind and resecuring the wheel chocks, I noticed some pretty high...

financing of a GA airport by
Wolfgang K.
hi,
i am a GA pilot in austria.
we have been discussing fees, charges etc. where applicable in the USA.
basic question: where does a local / municipal airport that is almost or
even exclusively used by GA make money to keep the airport running?
as you don't have landing fees, is it the fuel...

Snag in x/c planning by

I was going to ask my CFI these questions but I figured these groups

I am a 120 hr PP planning a VFR X/C from Bowman field Louisville, KY

Howdy ya'll,
Is it expected of a student pilot on his private pilot checkride to
intercept a VOR radial and fly towards the station?
Thanks,

Clup prop by
Corky Scott
I'm looking for a club prop I can use to break in/test an engine. I
could use a regular prop I suppose, but the engine will be on a test
stand and I'd rather have something with a reduced diameter for
safety.
The engine will be producing around 180 to 190 hp and I'd like to be
able to run it up...

Full before landing checklist in the pattern? by
Tony Roberts
How many people do / teach doing a full before landing checklist when
doing pattern work? I do with my students, but other cfi's I work with
use a quick / abbreviated one for our Cessna 172/152
Hi BoDean
I do, and I believe that CFI's should teach this. Here is why.

Which twin by

Hi all,
I'm a private pilot who works for a company (as a programmer, not a pilot,
unfortunately) that is starting to think about getting our own light twin
for both transport of people or our product, so I'm starting to look at
different aircraft that might be suitable. (as well as finishing...

Weathervaning by
Koopas Ly
Just a quick question...
During a crosswind landing, for instance a left crosswind, you'd lower
the left, upwind wing to counter the right drift induced by the
crosswind.
You'd also use some right rudder to keep the nose straight and prevent
it from "weathervaning".
Is this "weathervaning...
