Boom-mike cannula by
Jay
I saw a website recently that featured a cannula mounted on a Bose Headset X
boom mike. Now I can't find it. Anyone know where it's at? And are there
similar products for David Clark's?

Going for my Multiengine rating by
Kobra
Flyers,
For absolutely no reason, except that I want it, I have been taking
Multiengine lessons (including Multi-Instrument and Commercial). The flight
school has a Piper Seneca I (PA34-200) circa 1973.
It fly's like a flying Bulldozer on Codeine (sp?). It's a beast...really.
The controls...

Roll-based AP of same functionality as STEC-30 by
Andrew Gideon
I'm putting together a proposal for my club to replace TCs with electric AIs
over time. But for this to work, we need an autopilot that can connect to
the electric AI (therefo roll-based). I found a new Chelton that looks
quite nice, but is likely overkill (in terms of price and function) for...

Garmin takes over by

Looks like we'll eventually be down to one avionics manufacturer to
choose from. I don't neccessarily think this is a good thing. Anyone
else's take on this?

GNS430 computer link by
Dave
Is it possible to do flight planning on my desktop computer and then
upload it to my GNS430? I can't find the adaptor that I would need (or
do I need to get a card and card-reader to transfer the information)?
Also it is possible to use the same method to enter the checklists on
the 430, or do I...

Review of VFR PC Flight Planning Software by
Joe
For my own personal use I own Jeppesen's FliteStar 9.0 VFR. It works
well and pretty much does everything you'd want a flight planner to do.
FliteStar has great maps that look very much like the FAA's common
sectional charts. Adding a waypoint to a route is as simple as dragging
a line onto the...

Rechargable batteries and chargers....... by
TripFarmer
I use a lot of AA batteries and have used Alkalines for a while. I've even
bought the 40 for $10 at Sam's Club and I've bought the Energizer e2 batteries,
which are really good. The Sam's ones I'd just throw away if they got close
to being dead.
I finally bit the bullet and did some research. ...

PDA GPS software for Europe?? by
Frode Berg
Hi!
Abyone out there using any PDA GPS software that works in Europe?
I've seen lot's of "shiny" stuff on the net, but all of them are US only.
I'm looking for something with an aviation database, terrain would be nice,
flightplan features and that will work on a win mobile 5 PDA.
So far, only...

Garmin GNS 430/530 User Waypoints by
Resca
Hello,
I am investigating about uploading from a PC and through the serial
interface some hundreds of User Waypoints, necessary for VFR flight into
a GNS 430.
It seems that it is not officially feasible due to certification
issues. That seems stupid, while manually entering waypoints may be
worst...
