What percentage have a power pilot license? by
[email protected]
Hi all, I decided to take the plunge (no pun intended) and start
flying. I thought about going straight for a private glider license.

- then the glider license second. Any thoughts? How many here have
both? Did you get your...

Solo'd today...in one o'them planes with no engine...Blanik L-13
Well...here in "the groups" we usually hear about power pilot (ASEL)

I know there was once a Delcom that could, but it does not seem to be

ASG-29 versus Ventus 2CX by
[email protected]
All things being equal (delivery time, price, etc.) which glider would
you choose and why? Is there a performance difference, quality
difference, ergonomics, etc.?
The comparision should take into account 15 meter and 18 meter
performance, strong weather and weak weather performance.

How to buy a glider affordably - redux by
Andy Blackburn
FROM 11 MONTHS AGO:
Only point was that one would need to know your predictions
for what to do for, say, the past 10-20 years to know
if your 2005 prediction was good or just lucky. Stock
newsletter writers have used 'survivor bias' in market
forecasting for years - trumpet your...

Modular Gliders by
Tony
on aircraft with removable wings, how do the regs approach the
possibility of you using wings from some other glider on your fuselage?
I suspect that on certified gliders, there is some sort of serial
number associated with the wings that match it to the glider, but how
about experimentals? Could...

LS-7 by
Roger
The LS series of gliders has seem to always be at the top of the score
sheets, LS-4, LS-6, LS-8, what happened to the LS-7? This does tell me
that however small the glider market is, it is still an efficent
market. What was the 7 lacking that caused pilots' not to buy and fly
this glider?
