Oshkosh images posted!!! by
Tyson Rininger
My first time at Osh, and it was unbelievable. From the immense formation
flyovers to the multitude of weather conditions in a single week...hey, I'm
from California!
I was fortunate to have a job when I arrived in Osh working with
www.Aero-News.net. Those guys had me running all over the place...

going and going! With over 100 images, more than any page to date, ther'll

layout of the airshow, but an entirely different...

Rolling a Non Aerobat 150 by
Tom Inglima
Spins have NEVER been in the private pilot PTS. The PTS (Practical Test
Standard) only has been in existence for around 20 years or so. The last
time spins were required for a Private Certificate was back in the early
1950's or maybe the late 1940's. Note that there is nothing that prevents...

spins from coordinated flight by
Todd W. Deckard
Can you depart and spin from coordinated flight? Specifically a coordinated
climbing turn?
Several weeks ago I chimed in on an otherwise awful thread suggesting that
if the ball was in the center
the airplane would not spin. One of the posters
) responded that the...

RV-6 Snap Rolls by
Ted Timmons
Van wrote an article in which he states "RV's are not well
suited for because high G forces are needed to produce a
brisk snap roll."
When I do snap rolls in my Aerobat (perhaps that's an oxymoron) I do an
accelerated stall at 75kts which is well below my Va of 105 kts so there
is no possibility...

Dumb question maybe re Stall Turn by
Surreyrider
Need someone to settle an argument. I do not fly, so your answers need
to be in laymans terms and hopefully put simply.
I've occasionally watched aerobatic displays and seen a maneouver
called a stall turn. Now, I more or less understand how this works,
but there comes a point, just before the...

Effects of g-forces by
Superdoof
In the aerobatic movie at http://www.fulldeflection.com , Svetlana
Kapanina seems to hardly notice the g-forces.
I guess sometimes its +9 and -4 or so, but I can only see her hair go
up and down.
I have watched this film many times (ahh Svetlana !).

Tailwheel question by
Steve B
I have a Starduster SA100 with a Scotts tailwheel. The tailwheel is
not tight on the springs it is loose and the wheel can be moved a few
inches each direction before the springs make contact.
I would think that there should be no play in the springs... my
thought is that it could cause shimmy and...

Information about a TL3424 RAS instrument by
Someone
Dear All,
I am looking for information on the TL3424 RAS acceleration logger
(http://www2.tl-elektronic.com/index.php?
page=lsa&p_id=7&PHPSESSID=fee5ff74bb944f141d491dcb1af990f6).
As I undestand it, this logger can log speed and G-acceleration during
a period of time (not just when an exceeded...
