Landing on top of buildings in FS2004 by
rottenberg
Having gotten my rudder-pedals set up, I fired up FS2002 with the idea
of landing commandos on top of buildings in Manhattan. I surprised
myself (though probably only I would have been surprised) by my
ability to even get as close as I did to buildings. However, instead
of touching down, I fell...

Las Vegas in FS2004 by
nathantw
HOLY FRICKIN' WOW! I just installed the Las Vegas downloads from
http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/review/vegas.htm and it's almost
like being there in a cartoonish kind of way. The people that created those
scenery add-ons deserve all the praise that are definitely going their way.
Holy crap...

Last Change for Top Gun by
Zomby Woof
Thrustmaster support has told me that a gameport to USB adapter won't allow
my basic "Top Gun" joystick to work within Windows XP and my new,
gameport-less computer.
I'd already purchased the adaper before asking Thrustmaster, and yes...no
luck.
Is there perhaps something Thrustmaster isn't...

Lat and Long from GPS? by
LMHAMRIC
I'm a novice running FS2004 and trying to learn GPS. One thing that puzzles me
is that I don't see the data of the actual location of the plane on the GPS
display (or anywhere else). Shouldn't it display latitude and longitude of the
plane's current position somewhere? In other words, where the...

learning curve in fs 2002.. by
David Ciemny
Hi all..just loaded our first flight sim (fs 2002). Seems like a steep
learning curve. Picked up other sims so I imagine it will take some time.
Taking my first flight I missed the runway altogether attempting to land.
Wish me luck..

leveld-B767 by
Anthony Acri
--Has anybody purchased this package yet?
What do you think?
I had it for a week now. Still going thru the manual figuring
the systems (FMS) and how to use it.
The model flies quite good.
Only beef, they do not have a landing view, so you need to use shift-enter
to change you view point.

link: PIREP on X-Plane 7.x by a Real Pilot by
[email protected]
I came across a "flight test" of X-Plane v7 today, embedded in an
overall review of the simulator. This test was performed and written up
by a real-world pilot... You might find some interesting things in there
in terms of how X-Plane does and does not model real-world aviating.
Here is the flight...

Living with Technology by

Following some discussion on one of these NGs about how gadget minded so
many of we Flight Sium enthusiasts are, I would like to recommend very
strongly to you all a fairly new subscription magazine called
'Living With Technology' which I have been reading. It covers all the
aspects of technology...

Localizer problem by
Bob Curtin
Hi Guys,
Newbie here. When I'm flying under IFR and ATC vectors me to the localizer,
I can't seem to pick it up. I'm flying the Baron 58. Is there some sort of
setting I need to make to receive the localizer beacon?

Locating Gas Pumps at Airports FS2004 by
Arthur Alspector
Would someone please tell me how to easily find the refueling pumps at the
airports without having to spend a half hour taxiing around looking for them
in FS2004? In FS2000, they were always ringed by a flashing yellow square
which made them easy to find. In FS2004, they are located in the...

Lock On v1.12a patch installation problem by
Anthony
Hi,
Has anyone experienced problems running patch 1.12a over FC1.1? When
attempting to launch Lock On WindowsXP crashes, causing the pc to
auto-reboot.
Rolling-back to v1.1 works o.k. again.
Cheers.
