Concorde.... by
Derek Copeland
I strongly suspect that the American airline companies
were leaned on by the US Government not to buy Concorde,
so that they could wreck the European aircraft industry
and see off a competitor to their own companies. Same
as they try to wreck every other countries economies
in their own interests....

OLC Scoring by
[email protected]
I did 216 mile out and returns on both Friday and Saturday; however,
the OLC scored that as only a very small triangle. What gives? I see
quite a few other flights that seem to have the same issue.
Any way to correct this?

Concorde.... by
Derek Copeland
Holyhead to either Dublin or Dun Laghoire (I'm not
sure which). It passed us going in the opposite direction
last time we took we took the snail ferry, which was
last Christmas. Actually I think it may be a Catamaran,
but it's quite fast.

Cambridge Model 20 to OLC by
Bubba
FYI...
For several days now I have been trying to get a good log posted to OLC.
Part of this process involved running a program "cai2igc.exe". I kept
getting "Runtime error 200". This was because the cpu was too fast.
Reran it on an old laptop and it worked fine. Just wanted to pass this
along...

NEED BALLAST BAGS by
[email protected]
All,
I need to replace the ballast bags in my ASW-20C. Wings and Wheels
does not have any, nor does John Murray at Eastern Sailplane. John
says his Smiley supplier appears to no longer be in business, leaving
only the Schleicher factory as a source.
I suspect the factory will be horribly...

Two very fun students by
Bill Daniels
This week I had the pleasure to fly with a couple of freshly minted 2nd
Lt.'s from the US Air Force Academy class of 2006. They were converting
their glider time from the USAFA soaring program to civilian CFIG's.
To say this young lady and gentleman are "good sticks" would be an
understatement. ...

Concorde.... by
Derek Copeland
Jack's comments sound like sour grapes to me, because
Concord (English spelling) wasn't American! I seem
to remember that Boeing tried and failed to develop
a slightly bigger mach 2.5 swing-wing SST.
I am sure that Virgin Atlantic could have made a commercial
success of Concord, had they been...

Is it possible to use this device with some of approved software which
