HI Folks,
Failing to download files from a Nano4 - I have searched back through the forum and found some similar threads but no solution. When I connect my Nano4 to a PC, it turns on, but the PC doesn't see it (in some cases it recognizes there is a USB device attached, but can't see any file or...

Landout at Class C or D tower-controlled airport? by
Charles Ethridge
Hi all.
I've done thousands of landings in all kinds of airplanes at tower-controlled airports (now called Class B, C and D), but I've never seen a glider land at one.
Does ATC frown upon this (unless one declares an emergency in which case you have a new problem) or to they take this in stride...

Maximum allowable forces on nose and CG hooks by
Kenz Dale
Is there a general rule of thumb for the maximum design forces for hooks? And is the nose hook spec'ed for more than the CG hook?
I'm assuming the design load is mostly driven by the fuselage/hook connection, the hooks themselves are rated to as much as 14kN.

Questions/Comments about OGN by
John DeRosa OHM Ω http://aviation.derosaweb.net
I am interested in the Open Glider Network (OGN) work with a possible implementation around the Chicago area. See http://wiki.glidernet.org/ for details. You can see tracked objects at http://live.glidernet.org. As you can imagine not much going on right now on January 20th - except around...

Sobering Summer Is Here by
Bob Youngblood
Looks like the weather gods have sprung upon Florida and the soaring season is skeptical with thunder boomers and tropical storms and hurricanes. With the absence of the Bermuda High the influence of the tropics is upon us. Just yesterday we had twelve inches of rain and some areas had even more....

Ilec SN-10B two seat version by
Michael Opitz
I recently imported a two seat version SN-10B from Germany in
hopes that our club would maybe upgrade one of our Twins and do
a little more xc training. I am getting push-back saying that they
just want to stick to the basic training stuff for now, and they don't
want to complicate things for...

Mini-Winch for FES by
Paul Remde
Hi,
This is just a thought...
I’ve recently been extremely interested in the FES (Front Electric Sustainer) sailplanes. They are becoming quite popular. Even very high-performance racing sailplanes like the Ventus 3 are being sold with FES systems installed.
I am the U.S. dealer for DG/LS...

DG-303 spar issues - puchase? by
Paul[_11_]
For a new glider pilot, do you think a DG-303 glider would be a good glider to purchase?
