Newbie questions Rail / Ejector launchers by AL
Hi, Here is a newbie question. What are the merits and the pitfalls of rail vs ejector launchers for guided missiles? I suppose bombs have to be ejector launched and rockets rail. Whenever I visit an airshow, I ended up scratching my head.

Stupid question about flight testing and "the envelope" by Scott Ferrin
In this month's "Combat Aircraft" there is an article on the F-22 and in it one of the people invloved in flight testing says "Flying at the edge of the envelope pushes this aircraft harder than any operational F/A-22 will ever be pushed." Is that hyperbole? There are instances in the past where...

RAF Invader B Mk1 (A-26) by frank may
I stumbled up on an A-26 site earlier & it mentioned that 130 (I think) A-26s had been ordered by the RAF but were later diverted to the Navy or something. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone's ever seen a paint scheme for the Invader B. Mk. 1. Sand & spinach over sky, or what? might look pretty cool.

Turkey Dinner Tour Now, http://gc.kls2.com/ says the Great Circle distance KADW-BGW is 6200m, and AF1 has a published range of ~~7300 miles. But Great Circle would have taken them across multiple countries, including those evil fried potato folks; so I'd assume they did not use that...
