Beautiful B-25 restoration. by jwalters
Hey Guys, Just a quick note on the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison Field, Texas. They have some of the most beautifully restored aircraft I've ever seen. Their planes compare favorably to those at the NASM, NMNA at NAS Pensacola, Wright-Pat., and any other flight museum I've visited. Everything...

Viggen armament question by Kari Korpi
One of my mates is building an AJ37 Viggen scale model and asked me if I knew anything about the weapons usually mounted on the attack variant, but I had to tell him I was buggered if I knew. After some research with Google, I found out a chart by Urban Fredriksson that laid out the Viggen...

Mosquito fighter-bomber tactics question by Kari Korpi
Hi, I've gone through countless web pages and come up with nothing on this subject, so I hope someone on r.a.m could clarify things a bit. This regards the bombing tactics used by Mosquito FB.xx variants in World War II. Since the FBs could only use the rear bomb bay (due to the 20mm cannon) and...

PRAGUE, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The Czech Republic chose a Swedish offer of Gripen combat jets over U.S.-made fighters mainly on technical merits, senior defense ministry officials said on Thursday. Royal Navy's 800 Squadron page says "Each RN pilot faced the MiG-29 in combat and found the Sea Harrier to be a good match for the MiG. Thanks to the Blue Vixen radar the Sea Harrier won every time in beyond visual range engagements and also scored some notable successes when converting to the...

B-52/Harpoon by KDR

Using ship fuel as aviation fuel? by KDR
If necessary, is it possible to use F-76 as aviation fuel? I've read somewhere that the RN's Invincible class carrier can trade off her endurance for embarked air group's endurance by using ship fuel tanks as 'swing tanks'. Can anyone confirm this one way or the other? Thanks in advance
