Tracking the Elusive Tracing Paper by
Veeduber
Got a call the other night from a total stranger who identified himself as a
fellow resident of northern San Diego county and a homebuilder, too, although
he lives up near the Pala Indian reservation which puts him even farther out in
the sticks than me.
He's trying to track down some tracing...

If I make it stronger by
Jdandy
Heres a question that I don't seem to get a straight answer on. I want
to build a wooden aircraft. Instead of using sitka spruce, I'm
considering douglas fir. Since fir is stronger by approx. 25%, can the
limitations of the plane be pushed up by 25%? Is there a formula to go
by, or a place to...

NBC shows their colors again by
Rich S.
Last night during the Olympic women's platform diving competition, one gal
blew her dive and her chance for a medal. She was understandably distraught
and was sitting behind the platform crying. An NBC cameraman zoomed in on
her face, probably chuckling with glee at his luck in being able to...

The insulation on the firewall of my RV-6 is coming loose. Originally, I

insulation has come loose and repair efforts (more tape) have not held up.
My guess is that heat simply causes the glue and or...

Inexpensive wiring conduit idea by
[email protected]
Howdy,
I've been thinking about how to run wires in an aluminum wing that is already
finished. I can fish something through the holes in the ribs, but I don't
want to just let a wire or cable lay on the raw edges of the rib holes.
I think that the CPVC hot water tubing from Home Depot might make...
