Help needed - fs2004 zaps fs2002 props by
Ian D
Pie ChartsI transferred some third party prop planes from c:/fs2002 in to c:/fs2004. On first loading them into a fs2004 flight I got the 'Shall I get rid of the bits I don't like?' message, to which I responded 'No'.
Thereafter, fs2004 still seems to have gone ahead and trimmed the props off them....

Turning down airport lights in FS2004 by
Marc
I notice in a number of flight simultors that the airports tend to be lit up
far brighter than they are in real life. In FS2004 you can pick out the
airport pretty easily by the spot green light or runway lights that kind of
jump out of the scenary. In real life it is much more subtle, especially...

Buffet modeling in FS2004 by
Joseph Brown
It has been suggested over the years, for the sake of realism, that
Microsoft should also model Interior Turbulence in the virtual cockpit of
FS2004. This never happened.
As many suggested, the virtual cockpit should not stay perfectly still all
the time, it should shake and jerk around just a...

Aerodynamics for flight/space simulator programming by
Timothy Stark
Hello folks,
I am interested to develop a new flight/space simulator. I am looking for
good aerodynamiic/astrodynamic books. Does anyone recommend which books for
flight/space simulator programming? For example, fly a space plane from
runway to orbit around the earth like in x-plane...

MS FS 2002 Pro - scenery accuracy and the VFR UK scenery by
Gary
The problem with the supplied scenery is the discrepancy in locations when
using the VFR UK Scenery, so if the default scenery remains enabled it can
be ridiculous - for example, the Houses of Parliament in the River Thames
(hmmm - not a bad idea! ;-) ).
Am wondering if there's a patch to correct...

G1000 simulator by
[email protected]
I purchased the Raytheon G36 trainer software from Garmin. After
attaching a new Saitek Cyborg Evo and verifying the controls, I gave it
a try. The heading only seems to change when the rudder is activated:
banks leave the heading unchanged. Anyone else have this problem?
Also, even with a heading...

Hi there,
I would appreciate help with sites with information on making your own
controls ... especially USB... and setting up your own cockpit.
Comments from members who have done it would be most welcome.

Mouse-as-Yoke - Tutorial? by
Charlie
I must be stupid. I have installed the Lovett MAY 2004 on FS 2004. I get
confused at the L-click / R-click "menu" that appears when MAY is active and
one presses LMB or RMB. The author does not yet have any instructions for
actually using this program. I -can- control the aircraft with it and...

Rate of turn indicator on commercial jets (Boeing / Airbus) by
Mark
Hi all,
I am familiar with the inclinometer and turn co-ordinator of the
Cessna and how to use it to establish the correct bank angle for a
standard rate turn. Regardless of the IAS, I can perform a standard
rate turn by setting a bank angle that matches the standard rate turn
on the turn...

Train Simulators by

After trying MS Train Simulator and being so thoroughly disappointed with
it, I haven't been into Train simming for a while. But it caught my
interest again and thought I would give it a try again. It seems that
Trainz is the current state of the art sim. But surfing around, I see that
there...

I wonder how their lawsuit is going
I don't know.... I don't think the drunk dullards had much to sue for....
they act like that 24/7 anyway (with or without a camera filming them), and
presumably they...
