History Question - 1983 Worlds in Hobbs by Craig Funston
I'm hoping to update the historic record of my Nimbus 3 which was flown in the 1983 Worlds in Hobbs. The glider was owned by Lawrence Wood at the time. The flight hours were logged, but there's no mention of who flew it in the worlds. Does anyone know which pilot flew Lawrence Wood's Nimbus 3...

pik 20b by [email protected]
Greetings, here's my PIK info site: http://strato.co.nz/pik20/pik20.html Note I'm talking about the flapped-only version here...I think previous replies have covered most of the ground. Perhaps the bottom line is great value for money, no vices, glides badly with wet wings (common for some...

Does anyone have experience and can recommend Becker radio (6201) configuration settings to allow for both use of a boom mic / speaker and headset connections? I have the boom mic / speaker working well but cannot transmit / receive in the headset. Thanks. Jeff R.

Commercial Written exam. Will airplane test (CAX) cover requirementsfor Glider (CGX)? by vtcyclist
I am studying for my commercial written and practical. Glider first. Power a bit later. Does anyone know if taking the airplane written covers the requirements for glider written? I'd prefer to just take one written if possible. It's a time and money thing. I searched the web and FARs. Not...

Vortex generators? by Waveguru

Wing Rigger by Dan Marotta
Unsolicited kudos: Yesterday was not much of a flying day so my wife and I took a long walk around the airport at Moriarty. As we approached the hangars of Mark Mocho and Bob Carlton, we saw them fiddling with an Arcus and stopped in to chat and watch. They were doing final tasks on a jet...
