I know, and I can read it. And someone is going to say that they

I can just see an ASR-33 Teletype machine jumping up and down and
saying that 10 characters per...

New CFI by
Mediacom
Well, after lingering in these groups for a while and dreaming about the day
I could start flight lessons I think that day is finally here. I made a
trip out to the local FBO to figure out what exactly the next step is and
more specifically how I go about choosing a flight instructor. It turns...

Flying Club software? by
Medic
Hi All,
I'm doing some research into the software flying clubs use for logging
flights and aircraft usage.
Am really interested in understanding what software clubs are using and
what features are important?
I assume that at some basic level clubs record the flight time, engine
on time and other...

Problems in a commercial flight by
megaMAX
Hello everybody,
I want to tell you what's happened during a Finnair flight from
Helsinki to Milan, I'm not an expert of flight.
During the entire flight, I noticed that the aircraft was continuosly
rolling to right, and the pilot was correcting every 10-20 seconds the
attitude. I noticed this,...

Hanscom / Bedford, MA Approach update by
Megan
Another NDB on the way out....
If you fly into Hanscom Field in Massachusetts IFR, the ILS 11 approach
has just undergone a rather large change.
The ILS 11 approach is now the ILS or LOC 11 approach. All references
to BEDDS, the LOM and an IAF have just been deleted. In its place is
the ZELKA,...

Learning to fly in the Richmond, VA area by
Meriah Crawford
Hiya,
Does anyone have suggestions as to where to go for lessons in the Richmond,
VA area? I'm north of the James, but can travel, of course. I'd prefer not
to go as far as Charlottesville or Williamsburg, where I know there are
Cessna schools. (Don't remember the exact term.)
Thanks very...

Change training aircraft? C172* vs. PA28-* by
Metavalent
Hi,
I am just finishing solo phase and have a long journey ahead. My
training waypoints are (god willing!) Private, IFR, and perhaps
Commercial and even CFI if I can keep building the skills and financing
the habit long enough to get on the other side of the checkbook. :)
Bottom line for now is...

Descending prior to the VDP? by
MH
It's my understanding that if an instrument approach includes a VDP, you
should not descend below the MDA prior to reaching this point. If
you're not equipped to identify the VDP you should fly the approach as
if no VDP is provided.
I've been told you're not _authorized_ to descend prior the VDP...

Toronto - Creston (BC) in Canada by
mic49
Hello,
I'd like to ask you what is the best way to visit Creston (BC) in
Canada? As I know, I should fly from Toronto to Calgary and then - by
bus to Creston. But in Creston is a small airport, so maybe is there a
possibility to fly directly.
