OCCUPY MINDEN Targets American Open Class Nats This Summer by
SoarPoint
Gliding enthusiasts, join the 99% in Minden, Nevada this June and send
a message to the wealthy and greedy 1% that gliding is a universal
right that cannot be abridged by any person or organization.
The cruel convergence of income inequity, the breathtaking cost of
gliders and equipment, and the...

UK Scammer trying to sell Pilatus B4AF D-3993 #310 by
Roel Baardman
I am the owner of Pilatus B4AF D-3993 with serial 310, and have the
papers to prove it.
I was informed that someone from the UK is claiming to sell this
glider. He wants a split payment.
He used the picture of this B4, which I took and uploaded to
Wikipedia. He claims the glider is stationed at...

pre-ordered units - probably by next Friday.
They are also now accepting original model Oudie units for upgrade. I will

Converting LXN log files to IGC with Windows 7 64-bit by
2NO
The "conv-lxn.exe" application I previously used to convert .LXN files to .IGC does not work with 64-bit Windows. I was unable to find any kind of upgrade or update at http://lxnavigation.si/.
I am BACK IN THE AIR and have no way to prove it!

Maybe some ibuprofen before launching? by
Roy Clark, \B6\
Posted on MedPageToday
Did my MD thesis on high-altitude pulmonary edema - so follow med info
on it.
This might be something for glider pilots to consider - note the study
was conducted
in the Whites - I've been higger than the study altitudes when flying
out of Minden.

PNA accessory by
Brad[_2_]
With the explosion of PNA's/Tablets on the market and the availability
of powerful soaring software that can run on them, it would seem that
some sort of air-data pack could be developed that would allow a PNA
to get pitot/static information for accurate wind and STF info. I know
this is available...

Robot coordination by
GARY BOGGS
In his lab at Penn, Vijay Kumar and his team build flying quadrotors,
small, agile robots that swarm, sense each other, and form ad hoc
teams -- for construction, surveying disasters and far more.
If these things can keep from running into each other, why is it so
hard to design and implement a...

Pros and Cons of a 501(c)(3) Operation by
Randy Teel
What are the Pros and Cons of a soaring club becoming
a 501(c)(3) operation? Our club has 25 members and
growing. We own 3 gliders and a Piper Pawnee. We rent
2 hangars at a public airport for our equipment.
Thanks for your time!

Anyone heading west from the Seniors? TN to KS transport needed by
Tony[_5_]
Our Rowing Club here in Wichita has purchased a single place rowing
shell in Murfreesboro, TN and are trying to figure out a way to get it
here. Like Sailplanes, rowing shells are oddly shaped and a little
difficult to transport around the country. A cartop rack is included
so if your vehicle has...

MGL V6 transceiver vs Beckter by

Did anyone happen to notice the OLC flights logged by Mark Rebholz in
the WWII vintage Liaster-Kauffman glider out of Arizona on the 21st
