Making wood propeller? by
Oliver Arend
Inspired by a couple of articles on Bob Hoovers blog and the fact that
it's likely that my first homebuilt will be slow and VW-powered, I was
thinking of making a wood propeller. I have access to a 3-axis CNC
lathe which should be long enough for at least half a prop, so that's

Bob...

Machine shop source needed/wanted by
[email protected]
I'm looking for leads and or suggestions on where I might get some
dies made from hardened and ground steel. Think sheet metal bead
roller dies, only about 3 inches long. I've never had anything like
this made before and thought this might be a good place to start
looking. The resulting tool...

Where did they go? by
Flash
About maybe 7 or 8 years ago, there was a good bit of ultralight activity on
this forum, as well as the ultralight groups.
Some guy named Julian (I STR) moved to Henderson, NV, and had a forum of
sorts regarding U/L.
Anybody have any idea of what became of that bunch?
Thanks,

Monty
To all those that responded to my previous post looking for AirBike
plan, thanks. I now have a set for the two-seater.
This post goes out to all those that have a set of plans and/or have
built one.
While studying the plans, I notice on the drawing for the vertical
stab that the lower rudder...

Ok, one more round of it: does anyone have a set of Airbike plans for
sale, or know of the German website that was/is producing them

Thanks

From info I have located on the internet, I have cobbled together a

wondering if I emailed you a copy, would you would be kind enough to
take a peek at the circuit and see if I missed anything? Electronics

What type is this tandem plane? by
Oliver Arend
http://ruben.members.selfnet.de/forum/download/file.php?id=90
Seen in the Technik-Museum in Speyer, Germany. Searching for the
registration D-EAAQ turns up Cessna 172 and Klemm L35, so that can't
be it. There's the logo of the Air Power 09 Steiermark on both sides;
their site doesn't show anything...

U shaped wings
Some time ago there was a magazine cover showing a twin engine aircraft
with a U shape in each wing. The U's curved downward then up again with
engines and props within the U.
When did that occur and what magazine was that; anyone know? A vague memory...

Can't remember plane name. by
Pintlar
An older type two seater, all metal, low wing, fixed tricycle gear (it may
have castered), with twin vertical stablizers, and about an 85 hp engine.
NO RUDDER PEDALS. One I remember you had to hand crank.
Darn if I can remember the name of this craft. Can't be too many that fits
this...

Antenna ground planes for composite aircraft by
rich[_2_]
I'm using pre-made di-pole antennas for the comm radios in my Glasair.
But I need to install antennas for the transponder and marker beacon.
I've found some pre-made dilpole marker antennas, but for the
transponder, I'm using one of the blade type, and for that one, I'll
need a ground plane. I'm...
