wing levelers by
Dick
Sitting around the hanger and discussing the possibility of somehow using
off-the-shelf electronic/computer components or gadgits for semi-automatic
wing leveling on lightly loaded, short wingspans.
Not being computer guys, the current thought is that something should be out
there that is...

Fuel Flow instrument by
Billc851
has anyone considered trying a marine fuel flow instrument in home built.
http://www.navman.com/marine/products/fuel/fuel2100/index.html
I was considering the EI-fp-5 but at $750 it a bit pricy for my budget.. The
marine unit does the same thing for $150
Any thoughts?
Bill

"Yellow tag" and my A&P's inspection by
Michael Horowitz
Couple of months's ago I bought a used strut from an indivudual.
My A&P sandblasted it, inspected it, declared it OK.
That's the same process the strut would have gone thru if I had
purchased it with a "yellow tag", correct? - Mike

Aveo Ultra-H by
Batana
Hi, did somebody try this complete EFIS-EIM system?
http://www.aveousa.com/avionics/efis/ultraH/index.htm
Price is very resonable considerating that there are many istruments and
engine gauges in only one product.
Thanks

Balloon-assisted jumping by
JumpingMan
Some friends of mine are obsessed with the idea of buying weather
balloons, filling them with helium, attaching them to a harness (with
probably about -3 to -5 lbs of net lift) and jumping up into the air.
If anyone has info on both the feasibility (with implicit danger) and
cost of such an...

You know that :

On the other hand, the French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer

Location of headset connectors by
Rob Turk
I noticed that on most single or two-seater planes the headset connectors
are behind the seats. What's the benefit of that location versus having the
connectors on or near the instrument panel in front of the pilot?
Thanks,
Rob

Defrost blower? by
John S
Can someone suggest a low-current, light-weight, inexpensive 12 volt fan to
use in the defrost branch of the cabin heat line for clearing up a
windscreen while still on the ground, when ram air from the prop may not
amount to much? thanks
