"Last Samurai" and Bradley's book "Flyboys" by Maule Driver
I was recently dragged out to see the "Last Samurai". Can't really recommend it except as escapist, fantasy violence...and Tom for the stargazers. But I can recommend a related book, James Bradley's "Flyboys, a true story of courage". Related? The book starts with a sweeping historical look...

Sam Lyons print by Jim
I believe it was Sam Lyons that created the print on the cover of Rod Machado's Privat Pilot handbook. Does anybody know if that print is/was available for sale? It's not on Sam's site nor was it in his booth at OSH. I failed to ask him about it at the time. -- Jim Burns...

Is a BFR instruction? by Roger Long
If a CFI owns and airplane and gives primary or instrument instruction in it, it has to be on a 100 hour inspection cycle since he is providing the aircraft for instruction. How about if he only uses it to give BFR's? Does that put it under the 100 inspection requirement? -- Roger Long
