U.S. Heroes Liberate Another 11 Afghan Civilians by Krztalizer
Which is it, a "bold daylight raid" or one that "began about 9 pm"? Is the writer that screwed up on the rest of his details as well...?

RAF Service, Update to website and help wanted by George Bell
Did anyone attend Basic Training at RAF Bridgnorth in the August / September of 1959, or have a relative or friend who did? There may be a picture of you, or someone you know, in the Group photo. My memories of the 5 years I did in "The Mob" between 1959 and 1964 have reached the RAF Gan part,...

japanese war crimes-- was hiroshima by old hoodoo
They were the bad guys, thats a given. That is not the issue. The issue is, did we, the good guys, go down to the bad guys level. Its my understanding that Hiroshima and Nagasaki were targeted because they were undamaged cities... it had nothing to do with their military production capacity.

Why is Stealth So Important? by James Dandy
Seems to me like all the modern wars I can remember up from Vietnam use mostly ordinary fighters and bombers. I don't understand why such emphasis is put on that stealth stuff when we use the same old planes from previously. I still remember when the F-14 and F-15 came out. Don't we still...

Excellent Site on Recon Aircraft and Operations by Kevin Brooks
If you have never visited Spy Flight, recommend you give it a look. Very professionally done, lots of good info on lesser known programs, and more information than pictures (though the pics are pretty good too). The owner does it as a hobby and handles expenses out of his own pocket, so no pop-ups,...

Could Blackjack bombers reach USA? by Mike
Remember the Soviet "Blackjack" bomber that the U.S.S.R. started to deploy in the late 1980s? Wasn't this plane a virtual copy of the American B-1 in many ways? What about it's range? Could the BlackJack bomber have taken off in the Soviet Union and bombed the United States? Or was it closer to...

F/A-18 E-F Stores by Don Harstad
Sorry if this has been covered before, but if so, I missed it. Why do the underwing stores of the F/A-18E and F toe outward? Is it a clearance problem, or a separation problem, or...? Thank you. Don H.
