Mercy Missions and Flying Doctors by
DABEAR
Are Ultralights currently in use by Flying Doctors organizations or
for other Mercy relief missions (i.e., Delivering medicines to remote
locations with limited landing fields)? If so, where (on what
continent) would the largest concentration of these operations be?
Have Ultralights been utilized...

Ultralight Formation Flying by
DABEAR
What is the largest formation of Ultralights ever assembled for
flight, when and where was the formation held, and was the formation
held for Air Show or other purposes? Are Ultralights adept at
formation or can they be blown around to the point that formation
flying would not be safe? Is there a...

Ultralights in Space? by
DABEAR
Much ado has been made of the Mars Rovers and the use of a vehicle to
explore the moon in the 1970s.
I was curious if there was enough atmosphere on a planet like Mars
that Astronauts could utilize Ultralights in their exploration and if
so, what would the make-up of the ultralight aircraft be,...

Ultralight Air Racing by
DABEAR
I notice where a group in Europe is reviving the Schnieder Cup Trophy
races using ultralight seaplanes.
I was curious if there were any Ultralight races, land or sea, going
on here in the United States or North America?

antenna ground planes by
[email protected]
I just bought a fiberglass homebuilt project with a conventional com
antenna mounted inside the leading edge of the vertical stab but it
doesn't have a ground plane yet. The instructions call for a 24in by
24in ground plane but there isn't that much room right there at the
base of the tail. Any...

"Whiskey" for compass? by
dale
Anybody got a replacement for the kerosene looking fluid in the whiskey
compass? It evaporates or leaks over the period of a year with no outside
evidence of a leak. The compass has new gaskets. Interested in something a
little thicker.

Kitplanes Readers Choice Awards for 2004 article in the December issue.
Question #9
Which of these new kit aircraft do you currently own or would you most like
to build?
The poll revealed:

Vans RV-Light Sport Aircraft by
Dale
Got to thinking today about building another project and was wondering about
maybe Vans coming out with an RV-? that would fit the Light Sport Aircraft
catagory. With Rotax power and about 150 kt cruise. I'm not interested in
any Lycoming or certified power, nor any automotive power.
Could he do...

Goldwing Ultralight by
Dale Alexander
What can you folks tell me about the Goldwing Ultralight made in 1981 at
Jackson California? Some friends received a 75% complete kit from the widow
of a deceased builder and have asked me to try and figure out what to do
with it. It looks as if the wings need to be built but most of...

Best all time fly boy pictures by
Dale Alexander
Hi all,
I'm trying to put together some kind of plan to increase our EAA chapter
membership. To that end, I would like to pick everyone's brains for their
favorite big screen movie that involves airplanes, either main to the plot
or of any background significance. Examples would be like "Flying...

Weight and Balance by
Dale Larsen
The local FSDO has this form they want submitted before scheduling an
inspection. It asks for (1) "Net empty C.G. range" and (2) "Loaded C.G.
limits".
Now I know that my C.G. has to fall within 15-28% of chord, and I can easily
figure that out. It works out to 77.95 to 84.84 inches aft of datum....

Viking Cygnet by

I just purchased a set of Cygnet plans. Does anyone know of anyone
building

started.
Also, does anyone know how to get ahold of the designer Bert Sisler? I
understand that he was planning to put a Jabiru engine in the...

This is a broken collection. I have 100 magazines between 1992 and 2004.

End of High wing low wing search for me by
dan
Hi group
Have found the aircraft of my dreams. Has a decent cruise , short take off
and landings and a dependable VW engine.
Am looking for anyone that has any knowledge of the Cygnet (name means young
swan) or is interested in the aircraft.
