Cambridge Aero Explorer by Roy Bourgeois
I am using an old version of CAE to view flights from my 302/Compaq 1500. Yesterday (first flight this year) all flight data was correct in the 1500 card but upon transfer and display in CAE it shows the flight as May 8 1994 - not 2004. No such problem last year. Is this fixable? - or do I just...

Mifflin - just a reminder about a great place to fly *anytime* by Bob Lepp
Just got back from a week at Mifflin PA. What a kickstart to the season! A half dozen Canadians were there, and a large group from the Greater Boston Soaring Club. We all discussed having mixed feelings about reminding you here in RAS that you all can fly *ANY* time at Mifflin, since the busier it...

BergFalke II/55 part. by Bruce Greeff
We are refurbishing a Bergfalke II/55. Somewhere in the process the part that connects the control rod from the rear stick to the elevator and aileron pushrods has been lost. We have a BergFalke III part as a pattern, but would prefer not to have to reverse engineer that way. Does anyone have a...

Tiedowns at Parowan during Region 9 by Kirk Stant
As I understand the latest Region 9 newsletter, the current plan is for the majority of gliders at Parowan to rig/derig everyday. To me, at least, this is unacceptable. Please, if this is what is definitely going to happen, let me know ASAP so plans can be changed. I really want to race at...

Is a Blanik L-33 rugged enough for a club? by jeff rothman
Our club is seriously considering buying a Blanik L-33 but I have heard a few reports that the fuselage can be easily damged if a tail first landing is made. I would appreciate it very much if clubs that own an L-33 could give me guidance. Is a Blanik L-33 rugged enough for club use? Does the...

Our club has had an L 33 for about 5 years. It has always been hangered, yet the paint fell off in sheets all over the ship. Blanik did not want to assume any responsibility even though the ship was new. The problem was extensive, and the club had to finance the paint job. The only consession...
