ASW 17 water ballast system by
OregonGliderPilot
Might anyone know of any components or complete water ballast parts for an ASW 17? I am aware that the bags are sometimes available from Herr Streifeneder, but the lead time is long and the costs are high.
Thank you,

ASW 19 aileron weight and balance information by
[email protected]
I am looking for the weight and balance specs for the control surfaces for an ASW 19. Ailerons, elevator, and rudder. In theory, that ought to be in the maintenance manual. Which I don't have. If you have this manual, or even the specs for the control surfaces could you let me know? ...

ASW 19 gap seals by
[email protected]
Does anybody know the factory spec for the gap seals on an ASW 19? I know what I removed, but I have no idea if they were to the factory spec or not.
Also, is there done other source besides wings and wheels? I love those guys but I don't need a 25 or 50 meters of three different mylars. ...

ASW 19 instrument panel by
Charles Longley
I am looking pretty seriously at buying 1/2 of an ASW 19. The other partner thinks there is a mod to move the instrument panel to the canopy. I am not that excited about shimmying my legs under it. Has anyone done this? If so what’s the cost of the parts and how much time to...

ASW 19 Seat back by
[email protected]
Looking for an ASW-19 Seat back. A friend of mine purchased a ASW-19 but the previous owner lost or could not find the seat back.
Anyone have sources for used glider parts US/Europe? I have asked Williams to look into getting one from the factory but will be pricey!
Thanks in advance,
Colin...

Anyone knows where I can get the famous Schleicher stickers, in this
case, for a ASW-19, that you find on the fuselage under the canopy?
Thanks

ASW 19 tail wheel by
[email protected]
I have now destroyed two of those silly rubber tail skid/wheel things on my ASW-19. It's a black rubber skid shaped device that has a roller blade wheel molded into it. It looks cool. But if you push it sideways too many times the wheel gets ripped out of the skid. Or if you fly out of a...

ASW 19 Wedekind? by
[email protected]
Has anyone installed Wedekind sleeves on their ASW 19?
How were your aileron sleeves installed?
We are installing these on my ASW 19 and the set from Linder will not fit over the rivets on the threaded aileron hotellier fittings.

I hear that Dick Johnson wrote an evaluation of the
ASW19. Anyone have that as a word or pdf file that
they could forward on? Or is there a reference of where
I could find it in the SSA archives......

ASW 20 Gear well full of dirt - Any improvements? by
[email protected]
Landed out in a very soft dirt field during the Region 8 contest, and had so much dirt in my gear well and glider, that I spent the next 3 hours that evening vacuming and blowing it out. Still don't have it all out.
The -19 and -20 gliders don't have the fully sealed gear box that the newer ships...

ASW 20 Handling Issues? by
[email protected]
The ASW 20 seems to have a reputation for bad behavior in some configurations. Is this reputation deserved or overblown? What has been the experience of those who have owned and flown the glider? Are some variants of the 20 better or worse in terms of handling characteristics?

Hi all,
if you have a sketch, drawing or detailed photos of an ASW 20 mixer.
I would like to have a copy. Better still, if you have a unit that I could borrow
for the purpose of copying or buying outright, let me know, maybe we could
come to an arrangement
Regards
Udo

ASW 20 SPIN CHARACTERISTICS by
Ventus B
I have been considering buying an ASW20, ASW20B, or ASW20C. I knew
they were champions in their day and still have a lot of admirers.
However a few folks from my club say they have some nasty spin
characteristics. Specifically, that they have a tendancy to not only
immediately spin when stalled,...

ASW 20, ASW 20B, ASW 20C DIFFERENCES by
Ventus B
The only place I have found to research the differences between the
above ASW20 glider models is on the Sailplane Directory website. From
what I can tell the B model differs from the "A" by a slightly heavier
airframe, boundary layer control blowholes on the wing, a higher auw,
and different...

In the Wings and Wheels classified there is a French Registered ASW20C Motorglider
