Tube & Fabric A&P in MD/DE area? by
Larry Schuler
Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations on either shops that do fabric
replacement & painting, or maybe a pointer to an A&P who is willing to
work with me to recover and paint a Citabria in the eastern-MD/DE area.
Shops in PA/VA will also be considered.
Any pointers?????
TIA,

Help change GAS prices by
Bob Olds
If everyone in the U.S. will NOT buy gasoline on MAY 19 , Then we
will hit the oil companies in the bottom line (Profit). It is
estimated that this would cost them in the millions.
I WON'T buy gas on May 19.

Electric Vehicle by
sanman
Here are two sites I was reading:
www.metallicpower.com
www.electric-fuel.com
Both these companies are developing zinc-air fuel cells, which have 7
times the energy density of lead-acid batteries.
Could this technology be practical for powering an electric
airplane/helicopter/gyroplane?

Savannah or CH701? by
[email protected]
Howdy,
I'm about to buy a kit. I like the Zenith CH701 and the ICP Savannah. Both
companies have been around for quite a long time, and both planes perform
fairly similar except the CH701 climbs a little faster, and cruises a little
slower.
Differences that I have noticed besides the above...

Is anyone in the Sydney area building an RV 6 I have a friend over there who
is a senior aerospace engineer that is interested in doing a stress analysis
of this airplane(free of charge) to verify the strength of the design even

I'm reposting this from the Aerocats YG:
I'd like to pay a mark of respect to one of the group members, Scott
Devlin of Camas WA, who perished in a mid-air collision earlier this
week, near Olympia WA. Two Cessna aircraft were involved. Scott was
the principal of Devlin Aviation. He left this...

The answer to the gasoline problem by
Veeduber
The answer to the gasoline problem is as close as your nearest bus stop. Or
bicycle. Or pair of walking shoes.
Yeah, I know... none of that applies to YOU. You have all kinds of good &
valid reasons to keep doing nothing at all.
The truth is, the ultimate answer to ALL of our nation's ills is...

Don't Want to be Screwed by
[email protected]
Howdy,
I want to buy a kit plane, but I don't want to have the manufacturer fold in
the time between payment and delivery. Is there any way to prevent the risk
falling entirely on my shoulders? How about an escrow arrangement? Any ideas
would be appreciated.
thanks,

Tail flapper failure by
Veeduber
to All:
My tail stopped flapping yesterday. I don't know exactly when. When I checked
it around nine a.m. it was flapping okay. I was in & out of the shop several
times during the day I could hear the motor but I didn't look to see if it was
still flapping. When I checked it about ten p.m....

I made a day trip out to the SouthWest Regional Flyin held this weekend

nothing will compare or measure up... but overall it was an enjoyable trip.

composite wing, wing spars by

This may be only slightly off topic, but I'm building a foam core solid wing
for an iceboat/land yacht. I'm familiar with R/C model airplane foam core
wings, but I'm not sure how to scale that up for what I'm doing.
Here are the specs:
49 square feet
pluggable sections (one 10 foot section, and...

More Popper Poop by

To Any Homebuilders Still Out The
If you've seen the recent sale brochure from Harbor Freight for 500 'regular'
pop rivets for $2.49, you may have wondered what they were. (The brochure
didn't say and the nice young lady on the phone didn't know.)
They are dome-head ALUMINUM poppers with a...
