Mic light? by
Rod MI
Hi I just found this link to a Mic light and I'm wondering if anyone
has ordered this model from this company and what do you think about
it? I think its a knockoff of the original Mic light.

Vampire photos. by
Darryl Gibbs
Hi everyone.
Tonight I have added a couple of dozen photographs to the CNAPG "Vampire
Individual Aircraft History Page".
Just look for the "View photographs of this aircraft" links.
I have also uploaded quite a lot of extra information to the Nomad, Airvan,
Tiger Moth and Lancaster pages.

Pre-"trip" inspection items? by
Ben Jackson
What do you look for beyond a normal preflight when you're about to
go on a long trip? For example, if you were flying from the west
coast to Oshkosh you wouldn't want to be within 10 hours of an oil
change or a 50/100-hour inspection.

Flight planning at the lower flight levels by
Peter R.
When IFR flight planning at the lower flight levels (FL190 - FL230) in the
US (single engine, turbo-piston), is it reasonable to plan and expect GPS
direct to a destination?

Student Pilot at 50 by
TF
Sound like alot of wisdom in this newsgroup would appreciate the same about
what my prospects can be starting at 50. Flight has always been a lure for
me (father in the business, avid flight sim user etc etc) Now that I can
financially afford to do the real thing (well lets say ~...

Instrument rating?? by
Paul Folbrecht
I had always planned on getting my instrument rating- within the next
year, probably. But last weekend I had a chat with someone who really
got me thinking about it.
This guy is a friend of a friend and is a retired 20,000 hour ATP.
Retired in the 80s flying 707s and I forget what else. ...

An Amazing Gift by
Jay Honeck
I didn't have time for this -- or anything else, for that matter. The inn
was full, and I was fighting constant interruptions of all kinds. But the
phone call was from the airport, and Mary said it was important.
Zach was on the line, one of our CFIs. He had just taken a most unusual
call, from...

Fly In Ethnic Festivals by
Jay Honeck
Okay, so the "beer festival" title was perhaps a bit off-putting to some.
Let's try again.
Can you list any big ethnic festivals in your part of the country? In Iowa
and Wisconsin, of course, they are mostly German Fests -- but I know of at
least one Italian Fest ("Festa Italiana" in Milwaukee)...

Update on missing plane by
C J Campbell

The thing I don't understand is the relative's comment that "they won't let
us go down and get them." Who is supposed to be stopping them?

Update on 172 project by
Wayne
Remember the 63, 172 that sat outside for 18 years? Well the restoration
is done except for the paint, the white is done but not the stripe. Test
flight was Feb 29th. The pictures are still at http://12.151.5.4/172 but I
haven't put up the newest ones yet. It was actually done since late
December,...

What are the odds? by
Capt.Doug
It was a clear calm morning. The sun was just coming up over the ocean. The
temperature was around 70F. I had an easy commute in to work. The employee
parking shuttle bus driver waited for me to walk over and board instead of
making me wait 15 minutes for the next one. I had only one Jeppeson...

The April 2004 PLANE&PILOT has a review of the 1974 Piper Pathfinder.
A table at the end of the article compares the 74 Pathfinder to the 74

I don't think Jay is going to be flying over Pike's Peak (14,110 feet)
unless he gets a Cessna. :-)

Will Obsession With Aviation Secuity Now Become Obsession With Rail Security? by
Larry Dighera
It is my understanding, that hundreds of Arab children have been
schooled from day one to become walking bombs. They become so
inculcated, that their sole aim in life is to detonate and kill the
enemy. As long as people brainwashed in such a fashion are walking
the Earth, no one is safe...

Boeing Scaling Back its Air Traffic Management Business by

Does this mean that Boeing will reduce its pressure on Congress to

BOEING said that it is scaling back its investment in its air

head, beginning April 1. Brown succeeds John Hayhurst, who is
retiring. Boeing also said the...
