Oxnard AFB and F-107 Hulk by
Don Harstad
I visited Oxnard AFB around 1965, and saw a hulk near the perimeter fence.
It appeared to be the remains of a North American F-107, by virtue of the
intake above the cockpit. It was resting on it's belly, no wings that I can
recollect. I took a photo which I have misplaced.
Does anyone have any...

Overall yellow Fw-190A-6 ??? by
Vicente Vazquez
Pierre Clostermann mentions, in his book "The Great Circus", he saw a
dogfight between a Spitfire of his squadron and an FW 190A-6 piloted
by a certain "Major von Graf", nicknamed "Donald Duck" by the Allies.
The Fw was, according to his book, painted in overall bright yellow
scheme and, curiously...

other Russian "advisors" in combat? by
David Windhorst
I've Googled this, but haven't been able to narrow it down enough yet to
get a workable number of finds, so I'll ask he have Russian/Sovbloc
pilots flown combat missions, openly or otherwise, for their
client/customer states in other conflicts since Korea?
Thanks.

OT-ish Su27 Flanker fans *might* enjoy... by

....my latest "movie" made with the Lo-Mac flight simulator

they're rarer than hen's teeth in the UK these days, so I get my fix this
way.

OT- north korean nuke weapon plutonium - source? by
patrick mitchel
What's the source of the material that the north koreans are using to make
their nukes. Does it come from their own reactors? It's being described in
the press as "reprocessed nuclear fuel rods". Are they getting the stuff
from sources in the west ?
As an aside- interesting that the 2 countries...

OT, Art you had better get out of town! by
OXMORON1
Art,
Leave Las Vegas for the week, your life may be in peril!
The National Guard Association's convention is there this week and we wouldn't
want you to stroke out with all those wimpy National Guard types in town.
Rick Clark
No I'm not going, but someone will give them your name and address.

OT Funny list of what not to do in the US army by
Pat Carpenter
Skippy's List
Once upon a time, there was a SPC Schwarz stationed with the Army in
the Balkans. SPC Schwarz was either very clever or very bored; but
probably both, since he managed to attempt or be warned about 213
things he wasn't allowed to do. He collected those things into a
hilarious list...

Just had the priviledge and pleasure- tinged with sadness- of watching Concorde

OT - Where's the USAF web site? by
Boyan Brezinsky
For a couple of days I can't access www.af.mil. It seems to have
vanished from DNS servers around the world. I somehow found an IP
address for it and the site is there and working. But the af.mil doesn't
resolve to an address. What is your experience?
