an interesting in flight experiment by a[_3_]
Next time you're at altitude and in cruise mode, switch from 'both' to a single bank of spark plugs. It will remind you what happens should you have one side decide to go in/op when in flight. I had the engine (IO 360) go rough a couple of weeks ago, but rough was a lot better than the very smooth...

Peerless Line Service at AXS by brian whatcott
It's been a long time since I was on the receiving end of line service - good, bad or indifferent. But I know when when I get it good - and I got it today. With a C150! I delivered a plane to a new home base - and was neatly directed onto a tie down, where it was then tied off near the...

GPS for the Out Of Touch by brian whatcott
I'm out of touch. I'd like advice on selecting the 1) cheapest GPS that 2) can enter waypoints and 3) can display cross track error, time and distance to go. It would also be pleasant to 4) dump track made good coordinates in a form that Google Earth could handle, directly or indirectly.

Happy Days are Here Again: C150 by brian whatcott
I had to sell a C150 twenty years ago after years of uneventful commuting. Now the time has come to pick up a low engine time, high airframe time C150 again. Going to look at one this week end. Booked the medical, bought the chart, put batteries in the GPSs and hand lamps. Got the broker to...
