GPS AND MAP by
Paul
Hello ,
Recently I bought a PILATUS PC12 ,with the GPS KLN90B.
Is it possible to exchange the GPS against a GARMIN 500 and a MAP ,
as in standard Aircrafts of FS9.
Thanks in advance
Paul

The Boeing Year by
[email protected]
If you live in a country that does DD/MM/YY, then this year is
Boeing's year. Let me explain.
April 7, 2007 7/4/07 will be 747
May 7, 2007 7/5/07 will be 757
June 7, 2007 7/6/07 will be 767
July 7, 2007 7/7/07 will be 777 - the best one of them all!
August 7, 2007 will be 787

Unusual Honeywell KLN94 aviation GPS failure - what could causethis? by
Dave S
I have seen that indication when the antenna did not have a clear view
of the sky.
The installed aircraft was an EADS/Socata TB-9 with gull wing doors.
Coming out of the pad, the pilot's door when up (as it was in the
summer) would obscure much of the sky and not allow the GPS to get a...

Dust in the Wind - Video by
[email protected]
I dedicated my last couple of flights (as well as a flight
commercially) to really, and really enjoy the privilege of viewing the
clouds from the top down and that's what my latest video has been
focused on. Images and videos are from the past three weeks.
Video doesn't do the magic of flight...

Limiting use of Pilot Controlled Lighting by
[email protected]
Having just crossed the border, and visited a few non-towered airports
in the US, I'm afraid I may have done some injustice by using the PCL
pilot controlled lighting a bit too much. Knowing the somewhat
precarious financial state of those airports, and the electricity hog
the lights can be, I'm...

Flying a DME Arc with a non WAAS GNS530 by
Roy N5804F
I am sure someone in this group can answer this question.
When using a Garmin 530, without WAAS, will it output Roll Steering commands
when flying a DME Arc ?
Thanks

CNX-80 question by
ROBIN FLY
I have seen some CNX-80 screen pictures with its built-in CDI showing the
course as a triangle, sometimes it points up and other times it points down.
What does it mean when it points up vs. down? Glideslope or VNAV?
Regards,
Robin Hou

GPS for airport navigation by
John Bell
I think that GPS can be helpful for airport ground navigation and avoiding
runway incursions. For some reason, I never see this mentioned in any of
the material on runway incursion. It's not perfect, but if you have one in
the cockpit it might help you maintain situational awareness on the...

ILS approach into KHKS by
[email protected]
Today's approach into KHKS.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ-Hzig3RdM
On launch celings were 600 and tops were 1700 solid OVC.
By the time I got to HKS, ceilings were about 700 and broken.
Just enough cloud coverage to justify an instrument rating as no VFR
traffic was to be found but as easy...

Word is that JZI is getting a new ILS and it should be published in the next

Anyone know where I can preview the approach ?

lightning maps by
Jose
I seem to remember live lightning maps being available, similar to radar
maps but showing lightning strikes. However I can't find them. It
seems they would be quite useful for preflight, and as an onboard
weather too. Anybody know where these are (or if I'm just misremembering?)
