I flew A10's in the MdANG for 25 years and, except for a few rotations
to Bosnia for Deny Flight, never saw any combat. My wife's...

Info req: Altitude record breakers Michael Randrup and Walter Shirley by
Krztalizer
I have a pair of mysteries - I recently purchased a pair of crashed Mosquito
photos, labeled only as "Farnborough 1944". I cannot narrow it down more as
the wreckage is practically unidentifiable.
The only clue came as a separate item - its a certificate titled "Diplome de
Record" for a world...

B2 Split Rudder by
Emilio
There was nice discussion on B2 Split Rudder use during climb earlier.

The discussion made me think concerning B2 yaw control. In general, large
rudder input is needed for number of situations. First is the crosswind
take off and landing. For...

Chandresh Prakash
Hi,
Is there an aeroplane that can stand still in mid-air ?
I used to think that SU - 30 could do it. Is that true ?
I found no evidence on a google web/groups search.
Thanks,

Should We Bomb Syria and Iran? by
Kenneth Williams
President Bush said that in addition to striking terorists directly
that the US would also target those who harbor terrorists.
I think it is clear that both Syria and Iran harbor terrorists and
export terror in the region- especially in Israel, with Hamas and
Islamic Jihad and even in Iraq against...

Upper Surface Blowing (USB) by
Charles Gray
I recall that USB was mentioned in several books of the 1980's, not
simply for transport, but as a method of producing STOL close air
support and bombing aircraft.
While the russians had a transport, and I believe we also did, I
haven't seen much more about USB, and nothign about applying it...
