Zoom fables on ANN ZZZZZZZZZZZZ by ChuckSlusarczyk
Todays ANN (Awful News Net) had this to say about the fearless Capt Zoom.. Credit for this article goes to ANN which was posted 7/14/04... Quote: "For over 30 years, Jim Campbell has told the world of aviation what no one else dared to... the truth. He's worked as a test pilot, stunt pilot,...

GA Life near Manhattan by Marty Ross
I'll be moving to Manhattan from Los Angeles (does it get any more extreme?) next month. Any advice or relevant anecdotes out there to help me gather some leads about continuing my flying hobby from there? I've been renting (in L.A.) - usually from the FBO where I did my training. I'm IFR rated...

I am beginning to suspect that our "Andrew" is a troll of only marginal ingenuity. He put this same thread on several groups, always with a very different title and, afaics, has not returned to any of them. If I am wrong, it won't be the first time. Vaughn

Cell Phone in small plane by Ron
Will a cell phone work from the air in a small plane? Is it legal? If not, by what authority? Some of the newer headsets have the ability to accept a cell phone plug so one can talk through the headset. Adapters are available for cell phone to headset interface (www.flightcell.com). What is this?

You have a flair for exageration. After researching many of the new units, I doubt that any of them is "twice" as good as any other one. If I've told you once I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate... Sorry, couldn't help myself. Cheers, Kevin
