Why no plywood monocoque homebuilts? by

Howdy,
After reading a bit about the early Lockheed Vega, the Focker Albatross
DIII and the Dehavilland Mosquito I was a bit suprised that plywood
monocoque construction hasn't been used in any more modern airplanes.
(Or at least none that I can think of) What gives? Is it cheaper to use
glass...

Will running a 28 volt pitot tube heat on 12 volts heat it enough to use? I
keep seeing 28 volt pitot tubes on e-bay and was wondering if they would do the
job.

When trailers go bad OR How not to tow your Wright Brothers machine by

homebuilt trailer that formerly hauled my plane and equipment. Well,

aluminum rib, aluminum spar, holes drilled but screws broken off by

I'm rebuilding a Super Cub wing and the flanges on the ribs and the
spar caps have been drilled perfectly so the #4 steel screws go right
in, that is, if a screw has not been broken off. In which case I have
the option of redrilling and turning the spars into Swiss cheese and
losing ac43-13 edge...
