Microsoft Space Simulator by Michael Morris
I've just been rummaging through my loft I've found a copy of this great early space flight simulator from Microsoft. It does come with some great scenarios like docking a spacecraft with the space station from 2001 and loads of Apollo docking and landing scenarios. It comes with full musical...

Migration to XP pro and Simulators, Help! by JRC
I'm slowly moving everything to XP Pro SP-1, due to MS-es non-support of Win98. I've upgraded still to all available patches since this late , OS was released. The first problems I've discovered with using sim apps on it was that IL-2 absolutely would not run. Even with everything else shut...

Modeling effects of flying through rain by Dr Smith
I know Flightsim doesn't model it however does anyone remember which of the past Flight sim products did model the effects of flying through rain...I was thinking more of Sierra's "Pro Pilot" or Looking Glass' "Flight Unlimited" as I thought one of them did this for jet engined aircraft. Cheers.

MONEY for anyone who can make my x-plane model fly by Adam Chapman
I've designed an aircraft and I have a presentation to give on monday morning. I would really like to have a working model of the aircraft in x-plane v.7 for my stand, but I can't get it right. I have put the wing in and the control geometry. The engine, cg location, artificial stability and speed...

Most interesting place you landed by nathantw
I was just thinking of the most interesting place I landed a plane in a simulator and thought the most interesting was landing a Cessna into the cruise ship's swimming pool in Flight Unlimited 3. The ship sails back and forth in Seattle. Of course the first thing I normally do when I start any new...

Mouse-as-Yoke - Tutorial? by Charlie
I must be stupid. I have installed the Lovett MAY 2004 on FS 2004. I get confused at the L-click / R-click "menu" that appears when MAY is active and one presses LMB or RMB. The author does not yet have any instructions for actually using this program. I -can- control the aircraft with it and...

It's been many moons since I last posted in RAS but sparing all a long story which would place you in Z-Land forthwith as to the why of that, I 'rediscovered' my otherwise 10 year flight sim hobby and am getting back into it ... slowly but surely. Ditto, after this, rec.av.piloting because,...
