Screw hold repair in fabric? by
Brian Huffaker
It's annual time on the starduster, and several of the screw holds
to hold on the inspection plates have been enlarged over the years to
the point where a screw won't stay in the whole. Around each inspection
hole, there is a thickened area in the fabric that has been drilled
or punched to recieve...

I don't remember where it cracked, but the two ears connected to the

Instrument Question by
Dick
Can a GPS with compass, heading & groundspeed capability be used legally in
lieu of a separate compass and airspeed instruments on an experimental
homebuilt airplane? Or at least in lieu of the separate compass?
Thanks

Positive Press on Home-building! by
Jay Honeck
Some positive press on GA? On National Public Radio, no less!
Just listened to a segment on "All Things Considered" (Saturday PM Edition),
where they interviewed three elderly (upper 70s) home-builders in Lockhart,
Texas.
The reporter even went for a ride with one of them in his newly...

most facile way to move heavy toolcase up/down stairs? by
Alan Horowitz
ET onboard a ship. Have decided after time to have own tools. Got
them packed into one of those larger wheel-around, pull-the-handle-out
check-in hard-shell Samsonites. Ends up being a bit heavy, cause of
tool junkie genetic coding.
Works great..... except when have to go up or down...

I want to build a teststand where I can test an alternator.

I have a dummy load to sink the output current.
What I need is a variable speed electric...

Well, this is embarrassing. But I'm sure many of you can understand how it

major progress on my plane. All in all, it was a great weekend. Until today.
I started working on the ailerons. I had already made the angled...

source for aluminum tubing with rounded corners? by
Kyler Laird
I've been ordering a bunch of round tubing from Aircraft Spruce
but the only square tubing they advertise has sharp corners. I
need some 1" square tubing with rounded corners. The specs.
are not critical beyond that; I'll try to work with what's
available.
Any pointers?
Thank you.
