Bush shot JFK over what he did to Barbara by
Ross C. Bubba Nicholson
JFK gave Barbara Pierce a lesson in life in the summer of 1944 (making
her a "Cape Cod heiress"), and to her eventual husband, JFK gave a
personal motive for revenge. Perhaps if George and Barb had announced
their earlier engagement or even if George had given Barb a diamond
instead of a cheap...

Bush's guard record by
JDKAHN
I'd posted this in the "liar and fraud" thread but someone suggested nobody
would see it as that thread had kinda petered out. It's a good summary of
the reality of Bush's Guard record:

But I don't have a lathe - - Part II by
[email protected]
In August of 2005 I posted a message that offered a few hints about
some alternatives to the lathe. In that message I said, "The most
common thing used to rotate the work is the ubiquitous quarter-inch
drill-motor."
I did so because I assumed everyone would be familiar with the many
jigs and...

But seriously - new engine by
Chris Wells
Now that they're going to start enforcing the weight limit on Part 103, and since the Rotax 277 is no longer made, isn't it about time for a new engine/ultralight design?
We've got carbon fiber to build a lighter plane, and I'm sure technology has advanced enough to build a lightweight 4-stroke...

Butyrate, lacquer thinner, STC,etc by
[email protected]
First off, I'll order the appropriate butyrate thinner from ATS this
morning, so I'll be following the Ceconite process.
Yesterday I found myself out of thinner. Went to the net and got some
indications that lacquer thinner would act as a thinner. I have a frame
holding some Ceconite that's been...

Buying an incomplete project by
JAX
This is my first trip into the homebuilt world. I'm probably going to
buy a 90% complete project, and want to know if there will be any
paperwork hassles I'll have to jump through to get it registered.
I realize I won't have the repair authorization as I did not build 51%
of the plane, but what...

Buying prop strike engine by
[email protected]
http://www.whiteindustries.com/
White Industries lists engines with flange runout. What does flange
runout tell about the engine?
It seems some prop strike engines have a larger flange runout reading
than others, and the larger the flange runout, the lower the price.
Why?
Thanks.

buying sheet aluminum by
[email protected]
I am in need of a 5'x6' sheet of 2024T3, 0.025". Most of what I find
available through the likes of Aircraft SPruce is only in 4' wide
stock.
Anyone with any leads on where in North America I can purchase. I
recall seeing an advertisement in Trade a Plane with a lady inside a
rolled up tube of...

Buying used homebuilt: questions on ELSA by
Jim Carriere

Lets say I buy a nice used Kitfox. Can I convert this to ELSA ?
It has less than 40 hrs on it and has no N number. It also
has a very simple panel, only the min VFR instruments, no avionics.
If I were to plunk down the cash, what would I have to do to
make it legal as...

Buying/selling homebuilts by
es330td
Browsing controller.com I noticed that there is a category for
homebuilt/experimental aircraft. My limited understanding of
homebuilt aircraft is that it is an experimental plane, built for the
pleasure/education of the builder. The builder of said plane, being
the mfr, may work on it or an A&P...
