Newbie VOR question by
Bruce W.1
I'm not a pilot but I have been reading up on VOR stations. And I'm
looking for practical information.

How many pilots do this? Or do most just fly between omnis? When you

First Flight - What should I know? by
Bryan Porter
Salutations All,
After years of playing in Microsoft Flight Simulator/X-Plane, reading
the rec.aviation newsgroups, and staring longingly out the window of
Southwest Airlines 737's whenever I go on business trips, I've finally
swallowed hard and taken the plunge - my first introductory flight...

Autopilot by

Salutations All,
I know this isn't a flight-simulator group, but I've got a question for
all the real pilots out the In general, how much do commercial
aviation pilots use their auto-pilot?
I've been spending time learning IFR navigation in FS 2004, and while
up and about I'm constantly...

I have a 1941 Chief with lights on it. There's one light on
each wingtip and one on the top of the fin. There's no
anticollision light/strobe or landing light. There are
wires from the 3 position lights to the cockpit, where they
end. The engine has no alternator or generator and never
