Oh, all right by
C J Campbell
I won't kill file Dave or Mr. Brooks in retaliation for their silly threats.
I will even fly with David Brooks if he wants to call 800-645-3563 and put
himself on my schedule -- my treat. I promise I won't even bring a gun.
Despite the impression that many have of me, I would rather fly than...

As an update, you may recall I had to send my A5 back to Icom for repair
(the battery would not recharge). They have since returned it to me and said
the only thing wrong was the battery was bad and they gave me a new one. The
new battery was charged when it came back. I have since discharged...

Puget Sound TFRs reduced in size, turned into National Security Areas by
C J Campbell
The Puget Sound and Hermiston TFRs were rescinded at 11:49 1/9/04 and
replaced with National Security Areas, possibly as a prelude to permanent
publication. Jeppesen Flitestar is still showing the old TFRs, however, and
since the Jepp engine is the one that the FAA and AOPA use on their web
sites I...

Useful, but unknown, FAA pubs by
Bob Gardner
I was browsing through the Contents page on my Summit Aviation CD and ran
across the Accident Prevention Publications....as I read down the list of
titles, I could tie many of them to recent posts in the rec.aviation
newsgroups I visit.
For example:

Where am I? by
Bob Gardner
Would one of you computer aces explain why, after I have posted a message in
a newsgroup, I can see the replies but cannot see my post? Outlook Express,
and I don't think I have changed any settings (on purpose, that is....who
knows what I may have done by accident).

experience which causes me the greatest concern. Any help...

What having a sky marshal really means by
C J Campbell
All those people who worry about explosive decompression, innocent
bystanders getting shot, etc., are missing the point.
If a sky marshal (or pilot, for that matter) really has to get into a fight
with a terrorist, odds are you are going to lose the airplane. Either the
terrorist will set off a...

Terror alert drops to yellow by
C J Campbell
So I guess I can let Jeremiah go home for awhile. My airplane will be safe
without him on 24 hour guard because the terror alert is only yellow. The
rain was getting to his rheumatism, anyway, and it was beginning to rust
that old musket and bayonet he used in the War for American...
