CECO Vs. Bendix Fuel Controls by
Mike Th...
Does anyone know the benefits of either a CECO fuel control versus a Bendix
fuel control on the Rolls Royce 250 Series? Aside from the fact that one
works off of air pressure and the other off of fuel pressure is one better
than another?

Flat free ground handling wheels by
Stuart & Kathryn Fields
I recently tried a pair of Marathon flat free wheelbarrow tires to replace
my pneumatic tires that had developed the habit of slowly leaking out the
air.
@#$%^ The rolling resistance was so great I couldn't move the helicopter by
myself. In fact even with my wife's help it was very hard to get...

credibiltiy by

It seems that if there are two possible causes for a helicopter accident,
the preferred one for the manufacturer is the one for which they have no
fault. That certainly is the best for them. However, lets say that a low
hour helicopter suffers a failure directly attibutable to fatigue. ...

--- New Aviation Upload Site ---
Tired of having your photos rejected by those picky web sites? You
know who they are.
We have created a web site that has a "NO AVIATION PHOTO REJECTED"
policy.
As long as you keep it under 1200x1000 and it's aviation related. It's
approved.

Volume II of Ray Prouty's Helicopter Aerodynamics by

I've got my copy of what turns out to be a

addition to the Volume I work of the same title. Few people can write
clearly about a technical subject like helicopters without using a lot of
mathematics. Ray Prouty has a real knack... I'm jealous....

Have there been any successful tip-jet helicopters? by
Jeremy Thomson
I'm not aware of any tip-jet helicopters that have made it into
production.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
At first the idea seems a no-brainer, no torque to counter, no
gearbox, should result in a lighter & thus more efficient aircraft.
I suppose the devil is in the details.
Is the problem with...

206B3 hydraulic failure by
Bart
Enroute to maintenance for another matter yesterday I was cruising
at 80% and about 110kts when I noticed that I didn't seem to have
hydraulics in the upper-right to lower-left direction on the cyclic,
but movement from upper-left to lower right required no effort.
Hyd Switch was on , so I popped...

153A aviator question by
[email protected]
Hello
I am a 32 year old private fixed wing pilot. An army recruiter
promised to get me into Fort Rucker if I joined. Here is the problem -
after the boot camp I will still be an E3, to go to WOFT one must be an
E5 or better. Question-- can they put in my contract that I am going to
Fort Rucker...

"Airwolf" by
Sven Balzer
Hello NG,
I'm looking for the type of helicopter, that was the original for the
"Airwolf" of the movie. IMHO it was a "Bell", but how it's exact name of
this model?
How can I find some pictures, especially a blueprint?
Greetings from Germany
Sven
