What angle creates MAXIMUM air deflection? by
[email protected]
I'm not a physicist, so please forgive me if my vocabulary is faulty
here. I really need this information, though; any feedback would be
greatly appreciated.
A flat surface, AB, is moving through the air, with the surface
exactly perpendicular to the direction of movement. In the graphic
below,...

What are you leaving... by
EDR
I do some of my best thinking while flying along in the Champ at 500
feet AGL.
The latest realization to hit me was, "What am I going to leave behind
in the way of an aviation legacy?"
Photographs are one of the easiest most efficient ways to share our
flying experiences with other, so that is one...

What is AOPA doing to their approach plates? by

Here's two URLs pointing to PDF's of the same approach:

pixelated. Zooming in, it almost...

What is cabin air pressure set at by
scm
In a commercial airline, I realize that the cabin is pressureizd, but I know
that it is not kept at a sea level pressure. What effective "altitude" is
the passenger cabin kept at? Is it the same for all air liners?
The reason I am asking is that I have to use a CPAP machine to breath while
I...

what were those calendar's called? by
[email protected]
Hi,
Perhaps somebody here knows. I vaguely recall that back in the mid-late
80s there was a company that published calendars that always featured
some beautiful woman posing with a very nice aircraft. I think they
were called pilot pal's calendars or something like that.
I've googled a bit but...
